    AW: PowerScheduler++ Version 1.2.0.10 (RC1)

    Hm very strange. I have already updated to 1.2.0.10, MPEI also tells me 1.2.0.10.
    I will reinstall it an have a look...

    EDIT:
    OK it is working now, the version mismatch was the reason.

    Maybe it was my own fault, i think the message "stop tv service" during the update means i should stop the service (and not it will be stopped now):oops:

    thanks for your help,
    regards Wolfgang

    Re: PowerScheduler++ Version 1.2.0.10 (RC1)

    Maybe I am an idiot, but I can't install the plugin on the server machine (Multi seat) because the .mpe1 is not registered with any application (WIN7).
    Where is the catch? How is the file installed on a server machine?

    Cheers & Thanks in advance,

    Update:
    Found it know. One should read whats written during install on client side.

    The message is for information only. The uninstall script tries to stop the tvservice itself, it just cannot restart it again. I have found no way so far to do this. Furthermore the MPE installer scripts are not very reliable and the tvservice does not react properly on stop requests since MP 1.2.0 Alpha.
    So the safest way is indeed to stop the tvservice manually before installing / uninstalling. It will be restarted again during installation.

    To stop the tvservice you have to open the Control Panel. Select Administrative Tools and open Services. Select the tvservice and then click Stop. Since the stop request does not work always, go to the Task Manager and open the Processes tab. To see all processes, click Show processes from other users. If still running, you should end the tvservices.exe process.

    Michael

    PS: Is there a way to debug the MPE install / uninstall scripts?

    Hi michael_t,

    is the Minidisplay extension not avaliable any more since Version 1.2.0.10?
    I really like this feature (Recording message)!

    Would it be possible to create a code patch to add the feature to the original Minidisplay plugin?

    regards, Wolfgang

    Re: [New Plugin] PowerScheduler++ (New Version 1.1.0.2)

    I'm being dumb!!!! :(

    How do I install this?? When I download the file it is a zip file containing an installer directory and a single xml file.

    Thanks,

    J.

    I'm having the same problem.....I've tried everything to get this to downlaod correctly. Always shows up as a zip file. HELP!

    Figuired it out. Had to right click on the zip file. Select open with. And navigate to the MPEI directory. Why I had to do it that way I have no idea.

    When you update mediaportal, powerscheduler++ will be replaced by normal power scheduler and settings deleted. Can you fix that? I want to keep my powerscheduler++ after updating.

    PowerScheduler++ replaces the PowerScheduler plugin that is part of MP. So with every update of MP PowerScheduler++ is overwritten and there is no way to prevent this. But the good news is that the settings do not get lost with an update unless you delete the settings on uninstall.

    Re: PowerScheduler++ Version 1.2.0.10 (RC1)

    Thanks for this very good plugin.

    I have though one addition I'd like to see:

    When you force standby/hybernate with the remote control or via the home menu, sometimes the computer doesn't go to sleep for some reasons. However there is no message telling us about this.

    It would be good to have a popup message informing that the computer cannot go to standy/hybernate beause of such or such reason.

    My two cents.

    Thanks
    Fred

    I've found that if I use Internet Explorer (version 8) to download plugins I sometimes get a ZIP file target instead of mpe1. If this happens then I switch to Firefox and I get the mpe1 as expected. No idea why this happens though.
