    Re: AW: [New Plugin] PowerScheduler++ (New Version 1.1.0.2)

    On the client side I did not change much on the code for user busy detection. It basically checks for media playing and user activity (mouse, keyboard, remote). A running slide show is not counted as media playing, but I think I could change this in the client plugin.

    If slideshow is not counted as a user activity on MP / plugin side it is a bug. It should be threated in simalar way as the video / audio playback, after all user most likely is watching "media playback" when the slideshow is running.

    I'm being dumb!!!! :(

    How do I install this?? When I download the file it is a zip file containing an installer directory and a single xml file.

    Thanks,

    J.

    I have to try to reproduce it in multiseat, since I'm not able to reproduce it in sigleseat. Will try as soon as I can.

    @disaster123
    Of course you are right - everyone has acces to the SVNs. But since I have no Visual Studio (only Visual Express C#) I cannot make new builds based on the newest versions in the SVN repository and the team doesn't provide nightly SVN builds any longer. So I have to wait for the next official release.

    If it can help you ;-)

    AW: [New Plugin] PowerScheduler++ (New Version 1.1.0.2)

    Jay_UK and manyakim:
    I tried to reproduce this and found that it happens if opening the PowerScheduler++.mpe1 file with a zip tool. So better save it first and then open it explicitely with MpeInstaller.

    crazyboy:
    Maybe you were a little bit too quick with your remote after starting recording, which happend to me today too. Since Powerscheduler checks for recording periodically (default: 60 sec.) it might not have noticed the start of the recording and therefore still "allowed" sleep mode. You can change the check interval to some shorter value in PowerScheduler++ "Advanced" server config (15 sec. is default now in the new version).

    If this was not the case for you, it would be helpful, if you could reproduce the scenario and provide the server logfile (tv.log). To do so please stop MP client and make sure that extensive logging is enabled in the PowerScheduler++ server configuration ("Advanced" tab). Then you should stop tvservice manually, delete tv.log and start tvservice again (not absolutely necessary, only to get a fresh log). After that please start MP client and reproduce the recording and remote power off scenario. Then take the tv.log file and upload it or send it to me.

    @all:
    I had a bug in the optional Minidisplay code that made it oversee power status changes. Therefore a new version can be downloaded now. New version is 1.1.1.3.

    Re: [New Plugin] PowerScheduler++ (New Version 1.1.0.2)

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the reply... I've got it installed now.

    But what do I do with the update.xml file??? *dumb moment again*

    One question I had, you state to configure an OS power profile to turn suspend/sleep after a predetermined time. I have my profile never to suspend/sleep and I let MePo control this after x minutes of inactivity. Which way should I configure things???

    Thanks,

    J.

    Re: [New Plugin] PowerScheduler++ (New Version 1.1.0.2)

    Thank's Michael_t !! You are right, i was too fast with remote...
    now i reduced check interval to 15", i test it and work well.

    I did not realize how it worked, I believed that the monitoring was done after press power-off remote button and not at regular intervals.

    one info:

    I think, ther'is an event to notify when recording start and stop, you can't register to it for receive notify unlike to check interval ??? Maybe i'm wrong and i take it to easy, i'm not a developer..

    Thank's a lot for your work.
