Just had a strange incident where MP went into standby as soon as I stopped playback of a TV recording (well it went to Away mode because there was an active recording). I know there was an issue with this a while back but recall you fixed it some time ago.

Strangely, my Power Option settings have changed themselves (I was only looking at them last week) as well as I had it on go to sleep after 1hr and never turn off the display and these have been swapped now, so it's set to turn off the display after 20 minutes and never go to sleep!

Just found PS++ has another problem. My recording finished at 02:59 but PS++ kept saying "System is busy and should not go to standby" until I killed MP when I opened MP config, It seems the client plugin was preventing standby, even though "only on Home" wasn't ticked. In fact, when I then restarted MP, straight away it started showing in the log that the client plugin was preventing standby again.

    Hi.
I'm using 1.2.6 a while now. On my main HTPC all is working as I expect. PS++ handles Standby as my mainboard has some driver issues preventing Windows from Standby completely. But with PS++ standby is no problem at all. So far so good. But I have an issue on my clients. If I'm running another client than the main system (which is needed as TV Server then) the main system is going to standby (hibernate to be exact) also PS++ client plugin 1.2.6 is active on another client. So I always get an "connection to TV server lost" error message. WOL is working properly if this matters...

Is this wrong using or a bug?

It's still doing it today. Whether I have the box ticked in the client plugin or not, unless MP is on Home, the log shows
"PS: Inspecting Client Plugin (User Interface): StandbyPrevented".

I use v.1.2.6.0 and I want to wake my system up everyday at 6:00 a.m to start a new day with a fresh reboot. But it never wakes up. So I wake it up myself and once it's open, now it reboots. Can anyone help solve my problems. By the way, thanks for the plugin. It worked in past but since MP 1.2.2, it's something else.

    thanks in advance

I found a bug in the software that causes the PS++ client plugin to look for a setting "homeonly" (lowercase), which comes from legacy versions of PS and cannot be set/unset by the new PS++ versions' configuration, which usees "HomeOnly". I will fix this bug in the new 1.2.6.1 version. In the meantime you could delete the "homeonly"setting manually from your MediaPortal.xml. Thank you for your report!

It is a bug and you should send me logs both from the remote client and from the single-seat (server) system that are showing the error situation described.

Please send me the logs showing the situation when the system does not wakeup for the reboot at 6:00 a.m.

I think perhaps it just shut the display off rather than went to Away,, due to the wierd power settings of "never go to sleep, turn off display after 20 minutes". If it shouldn't have done that immediately after stopping playback of a recording, it should be near the end of the log as I would have compiled them straight after it happened.

Yeah it's wierd, maybe something else messed them up. Seem to be behaving themselves and staying on what I've set now though :)

Cool, well done finding that. I'll delete that line for now, thanks.
