    Hi :)

I do not think it is possible to prevent a user-initiated shutdown/restart.
For hibernate/suspend options, please see this page in the wiki:
    Power Scheduler - MediaPortal Wiki

I am not using it myself, but a lot of other users should be able to assist if you return with specific detailed questions.

I know it can be done because MCE for win7 can prevent it :)

Just use the powerscheduler ++ plugin (it will replace the builtin power scheduler). Set windows power options to sleep in x minutes, then set ps++ to htpc profile. The option to prevent shutdown is called Away mode, as w7 does not allow programs to abort a shutdown, they may only enter away mode, which is basically pc is running with no video & sound output.

You can reapply the profile and disable the Advanced Options. One last remark (I was not sure about that): PS++ can not prevent a shutdown, but "just" a Sleep command. Since Windows 7 does not allow programs to abort a user initiated shutdown, hibernate and/or reboot MCE "should" have trouble doing that (unless MS allow their own SW do do things on the OS others are not allowed to do, shame on them).

    Just a thought
Could it be that I set MCE to be the default recorder in MCE settings with DVBlink that this prevent shutdown when recording ??

Sorry, I didn't get email notifications on these latest replies. I just came here to report I solved the problem after adjusting power settings for "Intel Graphics". I set it to Maximum Performance. I tried many other things so it could be a combination of them, but this was the last thing I did and I haven't had the problem return...

I did a check of MP 1.36 x64 on Win11 and I can confirm, that the TV server correctly detects running MediaPortal.exe process.
