Fine. So go and live whit it or just buy new hardware. Sorry.
Also there's nothing more the developers of MPExtended can do as ffmpeg needs those powerfull cpu's.
Have you ever tried to rip a blu-ray to lets say a 8GB mkv, mp4 or whatever? It's basically the same.

UPNP streaming without encoding will come with MediaPortal 2. That's what XBMC does i guess.

    As I said I use mxplayer now and I only have some lag issues at the very first seconds.

    About HQ profile in which application we talk?
    I have a AMD A8-3870 and no problems with HQ in WebMediaPortal.
    But there HQ has a three times higher bitrate than in aMPDroid, so i wonder your quadcore can't handle it for aMPDroid?!

    I think you might be right, I've streamed from XBMC to my android phone and the laptop cpu didn't even bat an eyelid at it which is good. Mediaportal needs this badly :D
