Hi to all,
a ServicePack for PVHD(Blue) skins is available.

Due to changes in MPEI Extension plugin thx: to Damien "ltfearme") I made the needed changes in the PVHD xmls.
I also reduced the size of the lock/unlock icons in MyVideo when some content is password-locked in DB.
And then there was a great new mod from pog in this forum: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/streamedmp-301/mod-online-lookup-100467/
So I made a respective DialogMenu.xml, which I added in this ServicePack as ONLINE DialogMenu.xml.
To test/use this xml, first rename the original DialogMenu.xml to somewhat like ORIGINAL DialogMenu.xml (or store it in a safe place), then rename ONLINE DialogMenu.xml to DialogMenu.xml.
If you use a remote, you have to go "right", when the label "Online >>" is shown next to the close button.
When using a mouse, just hover towards the middle of the list to see the online options.
Hovering left (or right) from the online options show the original options for that menu again.

Just copy (overwrite) the content of the ZIP file into your PVHD(BHlue) folder.

BTW, as you can see from the screenshot from the Extension plugin, there were 1.621 downloads of PVHD (in only 4 days!), but only a total of 116 votes with an average of 3,5 stars.
Maybe all of you could leave some more votes?

Hi Catavolt,

first of all a big THX again for the skin enhancements to my beloved skin

Because I didn't get a reaction in the forum to some issues/questions I try again here:


1.) I still get error messages on all of my WinXP-SP3 clients when starting the Basic Home Editor supplied with the skin.
The alternate version from this posting https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/760112-post1550.html works again perfect.

2.) I have configured the "Play DVD" Button ("DVD wiedergeben" in German) with the Basic Home Editor in the Videos-Section of the main menue.
But when selected it doesn't highlight and there is no action when I move to the button and press ENTER. Simply doesn't do anything.
Playing a DVD via the main Menu-Entry "Videos"-->Navigate to the DVD-Drive-->"Enter"/"Play" works normal as well as going the way over the plugins-section of the menu.
Strangely, on a MP-client running Win7 (as opposed to WinXP on my other clients) the whole thing works as aspected???

3.) I don't quite understand what is to be displayed in the relatively big screen-display on the right side in the main menu.
I always have an additional much smaller screen-display above it, where the running MPEG video-file, DVD or TV-program is displayed.
But the big screen remains empty.
Only the DVD-cover is displayed rightside of it (when an MPEG-file, which has a cover, is played) and the title scrolls below it.

When I navigate to it and press ENTER, I get the fullscreen view of the running file/DVD.
Is there another function for this scren-display except as a big "button" for going to fullscreen or do I have an error in my system?

When playing a music-file the cover of the CD is displayed in the small as well as in the big screen-display and the rotating disc additional in the big display.
So when playing music there indeed is a function of the big screen-display.


I have some other issues with visualisations when playing music, but these are probably not skin-related as most of them appear as known bugs in the roadmap for MP (flickerning VU-meters etc..)

could PureVisionHD be made compatible for the FritzBox Manager plugin?

I have successfully installed the plugin and the basic function works:

When I have an incoming or outgoing call on my FritzBox the just playing video/TV-program/music-file automatically goes into pause-mode and the caller-ID and name are shown in a box (if the adress-book of the FritzBox is loaded into the plugin).
After the end of the call the box vanishes and paused file/program automatically resumes.

So the basic function works perfect in confunction with PureVisionHD without any mods.

But when I go into the plugin-section and select the "Telefon" entry MP freezes.
With the MP default skin the "Telefon"-plugin loads the list of calls from the FritzBox (takes some time) and displays them after loading is finished.

Is it possible to make this function work with PureVision HD?

@ Roger: Have no idea for 1. Play DVD in main menu. If it works under Win7, then something is different in XP. As I only have Win7x64, I can´t test it.
2. BasicHomeEditor is the new one from the mentioned post and should work.
3. In the big display you should see the TV/Video overlay, not in a small window in upper right corner (this can be seen from different screenshots in the screenshots section). There seems something wrong with your PVHD installation. As I will release a new version today (see next post), you should install the new version.
Regarding the FritzBox plugin: I can´t test it here atm, but the xmls for Default Wide should work (ofc they won´t have the PVHD design).

Hi to all,
as MediaPortal 1.2.1 is released, so I will release the new PVHD skins V 4.9 today. This release takes care of all the changes in all the recently released plugins (e.g. HTPC Info, Score Center with live info, Windows Update Control, Worldclock, Stocks and Indices, MP-TVSeries, Trakt, etc.) and comes with some new GFX (e.g. new clock and new picture frames).
