Ah, now I understand
MP has two menus: the Classic Home, where all plugins are displayed in only one menu line, and the basic home, where you can see the different submenus.
Therefore you must set in MP Config -> GUI the option "Classic and Basic, prefer Basic".
This can also be done within the skin under settings -> GUI -> General last button "Classic and Basic, prefer Basic".

Before I download / install Moving Pictures 1.5 with my slow internet, does your 1.3RC version of PVHD already support it? If not, would it be difficult to use the one in DefaultWide?

(At one point, the MovPic download write-up says it works in most skins he's seen. At another point, it says some specific skins.)

I've found one thing I miss on the Modern Theme and that's the hidden exit button. It's not a major deal because I don't use MP on a dedicated HTPC, so I can just go to my monitor, right-click on the MP taskbar icon and select Close Window. That causes Windows to throw up a "MP has stopped working error" but that's not really a big deal either, although I suppose it would be better to have an exit button to do a clean exit.

I know I could enable the topbar to get the exit button in that but I don't use that as I find it too cluttered with loads of buttons I don't need and I don't think it fits in with the nice clean layout. I recall I edited the topbar once before to remove all the buttons except Exit and Power, so I guess I could look at doing that again

Sorry guys,
reinstalled 1.3.0.rc from scratch with purevision hd 5.6, but can't see weather.
Installed worldweather lite 0.4.2, but no weather.
I've read the logs and it seems something like window not found.
Anyone knows if it's a known problem?
Workdweather lite seems a supported plugin.

yes I saw the xml, but when I press the weather button nothing happens and I'm back to root menu.
I saw that world weather lite 0.5.0 is out.
Will try that.

Did you try "weather" from Classic Home? On Basic Home only WorldWeater is reachable up to now...

WW Lite is accessible from all vertical menus (standard and blue skin), forgot to change it in all horizontal skins (Horizon, Fade to Gray and Modern UI).
Sorry for that - work in progress
