May be a last shortcut could be interesting (IMHO), to recover the fullscreen with remote up button :

The keyboard shortcut for switching BasicHome (or ClassicHome) to fullscreen TV/Video is letter "X" - maybe you can assign it to any button of your remote?
Like to see all keyboard shortcuts? Go to Settings -> General, last button "Keyboard Shortcuts" show all available shortcuts

hmmm, what I talk about is not switching between home(s).
The purpose is for recovering the fullscreen.
Because of overlap, you removed the extra infos in middle black rectangle.
Was accessible with up button of remote.
May be, it could be replaced to go in the little video display on the middle top of screen and then, when selected, click on OK to go to fullscreen video (see rectangles and arow above).

You have to go to MPConfig -> plugins, open DriveFreeSpace and configure your disks that should be shown

But, did you try it ?
For me, press on keyboard "x" key doesn't switch to fullscreen...

You have to go to MPConfig -> plugins, open DriveFreeSpace and configure your disks that should be shown

The goal would be to, for example, have a skin page wich could give infos for more than one disk...
