You see old TV-out seems to start being a thing of the past from day to day.
There 1-2 older pieces of software that can render some GUI on the PVR-350 TV-out, maybe you should stick with them if you really need that feature.
Else, stick with MP, use your Gfx card's TV out (like I did and was more than happy with the performance) and sooner more than later, PLAN a nice LCD TV with DVI/HDMI...

Plain TV-out (and composite TV-in) is something phased out in every new TV.
Connections now are DVI and HDMI.
Composite is not capable of displaying the "clean" content of a computer (even SD... imagine HD).
As simple as that.
