Kind of a last.fm for tv?
I dont know about you guys but I don't have any non-forum friends who use MediaPortal. Seems like it would be just as easy for me to say, hey have you seen this show?

wow, interesting idea though. Think of the possibilities for registered user based media portal.
Lets say your watching a show, you can see which of your friends are watching the same show with you. You can prompt to have a conversation via webcam or voice.
You can see what shows your friends are watching or recording to get ideas on what to watch.
You can rate shows and view rated shows from your friends.

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
