Just a litte tip.

Download the "new" Mozilla Firefox and use it to browse the net. When you are about to search sth. (here MCEBuddy), type in the address bar only your search-string. FF will perform a search and redirects you immediently to the best search result.

This was the way I found the MCEbuddy page within one second.

I know the way it works but as said was only searching in the Forum as assumed it was an MP plugin

To be fair tho I am using Opera on this old lappy less resource hungry than FF

according to the MCEBuddy I got new questions...

I installed this program and now it's cutting the Com-Breaks and transcoding into divx. All fine. But what will happen, if I shut down the computer while he's transcoding? Will he begin from the beginning again?

The other questions is related to the ComSkipping-Action of the MCEBuddy. It sais, that he scans the file of combreaks. But MP already created a ComSkip-Textfile while he was recoding the program. Does MCEBuddy replace the Comskip of MP or does it only analyze the txt-file created by MP?

In my experience it will not restart. It is looking for the file in the destination folder and if there, it will be skipped. You will have to manually delete it in the destination folder and then it will start again from the beginning.

I have not used comskip and mcebuddy together. Hopefully someone else can answer that one.

Add memcoder.exe to powerscheduler exceptions.

Does MCEBuddy replace the Comskip of MP or does it only analyze the txt-file created by MP?

Believe it may do the later, but as the version of comskip is the one I use in MP anyway should give the same results, plus as I it set to delay transcoding anything for 14 days, there is probably only one file every couple of days to transcode.

One last question - I promise!

This night, MCEBuddy transcoded the first file into DivX (Profile: DivX Compatibility High Quality Slower 2 Pass Conversion).

So a file with the duration of an hour is about 1,85GB.

Which profile should I use or can I create my own profile?

you can create your own profile
it's in mcebuddy mencoder.conf (or something like that)
