Does anyone else have a problem with the files mcebuddy produces?
If I transcode a .ts with mcebuddy, I have the problem that at some points in the file, MP just stops playing the video and returns to the GUI. I can skip over these points, and it will play a bit after that, until comes to another spot where it will go back to the MP GUI (For example, a video will play fine until it reaches 1min and 24secs, then it will stop playing. When skipping ahead to 2min, it will play until it hits 2min 10secs).

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I record in TVServer to .ts.
In mcebuddy, I tried different settings, WMV and h.264. Codecs in MP I have tried is the Microsoft MPEG2 codec, PowerDVD, and for H.264 also PowerDVD and Mainconcept codec.
WMV created by Movie Maker are playing fine.
I hoped maybe someone has the same problem and knows how to fix it. I guess I will try to look a bit more into this, try to play the files on a different computer and such things.

    Hello, it's me again!

MCEBuddy works fine. But my divx-files are to big. An one hour recording has about 650MB and transcode takes a very long time (more than 3 to 4 hours).

Can I have the settings you are using?

I would like to have good quality and good sound. But it doesn't need to be HD, 1070p etc. The only recordings I have are series - no movies.

At the moment, a transcoded file has the following attributes:

    Code:
    length: 00:54:50
    width: 720
    height: 540

    Audio-Bitrate: 192 kBit/s (too high?)
    Size: 629MB

    Thank you very much.

Malingo, yes - have the same problem here with my wmv files that have been transcoded from .ts recordings. No solution as yet :(
FYI, I tried divx and the one movie I transcoded did not seem to have that problem - you could give it a go..

As for me, I am hoping to stick with wmv since it compresses the quickest for me. I am trying to workaround the wmv playback problem by using the my mplayer plugin (you can get it from the plugins/MPI section). Issues so far:
    - external player, so not integrated with MP. Altho the author has done a great job to provide some integration - matching OSD, skip fwd/back works, resume sorta works (hit and miss) after a stop, pause/resume works
    - when the scenes pan across the screen, video is jerky - might be possible to tweak, not sure tho..

So, while wmv playback of these transcoded files are a problem in MP, playback using WMP11/VLC/Mplayer run perfectly fine!
