    Hi Ray,

I did a clean channel scan on all three DVB-T cards, re-ordered the channels, changed the recording folder on all three cards to D:\Recorded TV, then tried to import the old recordings.

I did wonder if although the new channels have the same names as the old ones, the database thinks they are different. However, this would not explain why a new programme recorded on RC1 would also no show up in the list.

Sorry I haven't been able to provide log files. You only get one shot at importing the recordings, so I didn't know it had gone wrong until too late.

I had the same problem when I installed RC1 but I'm pretty sure it was related to the recordings import. None of my old recordings would show and no new ones would show either. My recordings folder is on a separate HDD to MP.

I have used TVE3 and MSSQL for a long time and I did scan new channels with RC1

In previous versions, it wouldn't let me import a few of my older recordings but in RC1 is just accepted them all. I droppped the db, reinstalled and deleted the older recordings, did the import and all old (and new) recordings were shown in recorded tv.

How many of you with this problem imported their old recordings before trying to record new ones?

The question is: How many did import old recordings before scanning channels?

    I did these steps:
    1. clean installation RC1
    2. import export.xml to TVserver
    3. Rescan channel
    4. save (restart TVservice)
    5. import recordings
    6. save (restart TVservice)

I found small difference between old name of one channel (" NOVA") in export.xml (and in recordings.xml file too) and current name of this channel in TVserver ("NOVA"). It was reason why I have problem with import.

I remember now I have problem with names of DVBT channels after scan with a few spaces on the end of names. that's why I have problem with DVBT EPG grabbing.

My solution for this case: use trim function and make "NOVA" from " NOVA " before saving names of channels. Because something of a " NOVA " is incorrect name of channel, I think.

Maybe a warning on the import section in config to say Scan channels First, just might help.

    Hi Ray,

Not for me. I experienced this bug, and did scan channels first, before trying to import old recordings.

    Best wishes,

    Mark
Likewise here. I did a completely fresh installation and did channel scans first thing, without any importing of ANY settings or channel exports.

I didn't even import settings AFTER channel scans and the Recorded TV wouldn't work. It was only after I messed around with recording paths, recording formats, and deleting logs that things seemed to finally work.

    Hi Guys,

    I had a similar issue.
I had recordings (TS Files) which were created on v1.0.0.0 RC1(Refresh) with SQL Express.
I had to do a complete PC rebuild from the OS up (Windows XP SP2)
I installed v1.0.0.0 RC1(Refresh) with SQL Express and when I imported the old recordings my TV Recordings list became empty, even new recordings were not listed.

The cause of my problem turned out to be that I had changed at least one of my Channels names.
When I imported the files it displayed Channel Unknown.

    My Solution:
    * Moved all of the older recordings( TS and XML files) to a temporary folder
    * Cleaned the database via the "Remove no longer existing files" button on the Database Import Tab
    * Clicked OK to exit the Management console
    * Manually adjusted the XML file, changing the CHANNEL_NAME value string to match the current channel name
    * Moved the older files back to the Recordings folder and imported them into my database

It only took one file with incorrect information to stop my TV Recordings list being shown

I hope someone finds this information helpful.

Anyone of you still encountering this issue with latest SVN build?
