    rtv,

Apologies, but I haven't been able to test the new SVN yet, and I'm not going to be able to do so for another week or so.

    Thanks for all your efforts.

Anyone else managed to check this with the SVN, and see if it is fixed??

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    1. "Delete from recording"
    2. Open SetupTv - import Recordings
    3. Open MP (SVN) -> Recorded TV

Should be enough for both logs to hold the relevant information I need.

I cleaned logs (both TVserver and MP)
delete 88 records from recording table (sorry didnt check if my new recordings was in)
    Open SetupTv - import Recordings
Open MP (SVN) -> Recorded TV
    and now it works

and absolutely nothing in logs for these actions.

Sorry that it's not really help. :(
Next time I found a "bug" I will try to collect more info to track it and make MP better.

Well I had expected it to be fixed but it still does not explain why "just" applying SVN doesn't help to see at least the former, valid recordings..

I haven't tried the latest SVN (might do with this Friday's) but I do have some more information. This may be useful since other users report the latest SVN hasn't fully fixed this.

For an unrelated reason, I had to clear my TV Channels and rescan. Was surprised to see that all my recordings had disappeared again. I looked in the Recordings table and noticed that none of the IdChannel values was -1, but the IdChannel number of a new recording was much higher than all the previous ones. I set all the values to be the same as the new recording and restarted MP. All the recordings were back but obviously if I play them the 'Resume' dialog shows the same (now incorrect) channel name.

It appears to me that when channels are scanned TV server often creates new IdChannel numbers. Existing recordings have the old ones but the system isn't able to recover the channel name (and possibly other information) properly.

This should be easy to check by manually changing an IdChannel field value to an old value.

On a sidenote, I had the same happen when I imported all my old recordings at once. I got it working by copying away all old recordings and then adding them by small groups. I did it 4 by 4, no idea if there was an upper-limit.

This provides no clue to what could have been wrong, but it does give a workaround.

I tried importing my recordings too after installing latest SVN version - and the few I already had in dissappeared and new ones didn't get added. So, I tried the above and it worked!
I moved my recordings, pressed "Remove no longer existing files" and deleted all. After moving them back and importing them 2 at a time, it is working again.
    :D for that advice.

I have experienced the same problem after doing some channel imports. Having deleted all recordings in the TV server setup solved the problem for me, so this seemsn to be the fixing step.

As a general solution I would like to have the recordings list view show "unknown channel" instead of nothing in such a situation.

Has anyone tried a recent snapshot? I currently plan to stick to 1.0 RC1 because many problems really seem to be solved now - most important for me: standby / wakeup, TV server and/or client crashes. Thanks for this great job guys!

    Regards
    Frank

I've added another fix which disables unknown channel imports right AFTER the last snapshot was done as it needs a little more work.

    Hi rtv,

this should really be a minor issue since chaging the channel setup is something you don't do very frequently. I have done it because of some changed transponders (arte).

My fix for nothing showing in Recordings(but files there)

Hi Folks, I had the same problem (and ear bashing for this too...!) and looking at the MySQl database 'Recording' (NOT Recordings) table found that I had a spurious entry from a previous recording.

The entry pointed to the C: drive - but I have moved my recordings to D: drive (also mapped to another letter).

I deleted this row (once I worked out how to do it - don't use SQL often enough to remember) and ta-da the recordings all showed up!

Using RC1 and the latest SVN.

Now if I can just get WebEPG to put the TVGuide in the right place and XMLTV to get >ALL< the channels guide data I'll be set...<GRIN>!
