If there is any chance to enhance RC functionality to Russian? Could you give me a link to the source, I'll check if I can do anything for it.

Sure: RemoteNumpadFilter.cs - moving-pictures - Google Code

If you get things working for the cyrillic alphabet, create an issue on our tracker with a patch file attached and we will integrate. If you have any questions about the code, jump into #moving-pictures@irc.freenode.net.

if anyone could compile for me MovPics with this file. I add here Russian alphabet, just to check how it works. First we need to clarify which code page is used (I use windows-1251, it's wide used in Russia), second we need to clarify how to handle propper alphabet for different languages.

folks! be so kind, compile for me MovPics with attached RemoteControlFilter.cs. In this case we will be ready to include it in next release - quite useful tool.

Moving Pictures is very much a community driven project so we really appreciate your effort to help improve it, but if you are going to make and submit code changes to the project you really need to be able to compile and test your changes yourself, and then submit them as an SVN patch. We have a pretty complete guide on how to setup a development environment to build Moving Pictures, so if you are anxious to see this issue resolved ASAP, then you should follow the guide, build things yourself, make sure things are working correctly and submit a patch. If you're not interested in spending the time to do this then please be patient for us to get to the issue ourselves. There are quite a few things we want to go into Moving Pictures 0.8, but this is unfortunately not on the top of the priorities list.

Please do not take this the wrong way, again we're really grateful for your and everyone else's support and efforts to make Moving Pictures better. But those of us that are actively developing Moving Pictures have real jobs and real lives as well, and we have to stick to our priorities list or things would very quickly become very hectic and unmanageable.

You pulling me into development. First, I've learned scrapping and RegEx, now, it seems to me that I need to go for C#... Damn, I like it ;). Several years (more then 10 years) I did nothing in programming. Ok, I'll see what I could do with it. Just please don't pin one's hopes on me - I'll start with C# from the begining.

Ran into this problem following an otherwise sucessful upgrade from MP 1.34 x64 to MP 1.35 x64 the CEC Remote plugin which I use just to control volume and standby, will no longer put my devices (TV & AVR) to sleep when the HTPC is put in standby. Also when I wake up the HTPC MP closes or crashes (not sure which) as per the example in...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal. Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
