Have not seen anyone using that particular remote, but cannot see it as a great problem, it may be recognised as part mce and part hid device by windows (both supported by MP), until you install it, it is unknown how it will be recognised, there is no mention of a software cd, so I assume it will use the mce\hid default driver of windows itself.

Just to be certain, which version of windows are you looking to run this on.

Thanks for your replay. Through my searching for a remote many of them did not have cd software. Is it necessary to have software included with the remote?

I use windows xp, I think sp3.

If it's xp pro, then it will install ehome drivers automatically for mce remote, whatever make.

If XP home then you need to download the drivers from here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/remotes-116/how-mce-remote-keyboard-xp-home-4589/
