    Hello!
DXVA2 is not officially supported by LAV at the moment but I could imagine that it will be part of the next official release (0.45).
For now there is a test version with DXVA2 support available here: LAV with DXVA2 support

    hi,
i'm testing your version since this evening and i have a question.
i've installed SAF 6.06 and i don't have the choice of DXVA2 in LAV video decoder settings.
is there a specific version to install ?
can you give me a link to find it ?
    thanks in advance.:D

    Salut toutoune290 :)
Yes Holzi was right, effectively it's a test version :) (sorry like i test on latest source, i didn't see that nev didn't release official version).
    Thanks :)

I have installed the saf 606 test version and then copied the files across into the lav directory from the doom thread.
That allowed me to select dxva2 in the lav video settings and if i select lav for all video plus ffd for audio all my hd mkvs are playing perfectly - vc1 and h264. i don't know if i have any interlaced vc1, i haven't checked. that was mentioned as an issue on the doom thread.

using pdvd video with the saf 606 is producing the same results, by the way. at first glance, lav with dxva2 is better.

to say i am pleased would be an understatement. this has got mepo to a stage where i think i can play everything i need to on my zotac nano with amd-e350 apu. i will shortly become a mepo contributor as a result.

as soon as i find something that uses it i'm sure i will be very happy! in the meantime this last day or two has basically made my baby htpc a worthwhile investment, so thanks.

    Hi Ben,

I think Version 3 installer didn't update your installation and so you are on previous one.
You can install it by doing clean install first or unzip installer with 7Zip and go in deploy folder to installer build :)
