1º - With DXVA, can i have subtitles?
2º - Some HD movies that i have don't use DXVA, can i do anything, so that i can use DXVA in those movies?
3º - Is possible to know wich movies that i have in my HDD, use DXVA? Or, i have to open each one in MPC-HC and see?

1-no, enabling subtitles broke DXVA (should be possible in MP 1.0.2)
2-use XVid4PSP to reencode you videos to enable DXVA
3-no as i know. Just try them in MPC-HC and see.

One question:

Why install AC3filter?

I'm using SAF 3.47 (+ subtitle patch), SPDIF (optical) out, MPC Audio codec, set SPDIF out in Videos and DVD. And I'm getting AC3 and DTS passthrough without problems. I also got that with previous versions of SAF.

My AV receiver (Marantz SR5200) recognises the DTS signal (shows "DTS" and all the active channels in the display), even setting "Auto" or DTS input on the receiver. DTS tracks sound pretty well (no lags, no framedropping).

I can't understand why some people claims that MPC Audio Codec doesn't manage DTS signals. Maybe is a hardware related problem?

Consider yourself lucky! I have a Harman Kardon AVR-330 and the audio skips like crazy with MPA's DTS output over spdif. I've talked to others with this problem too, and we don't all have harman's. Perhaps your receiver is doing something to fix it.

- checking with different kinds of audio. Difference between 44.1khz and 48khz. (what kind if audio hardware do you use?)

I have not tried refresh changer. do you mean reclock?

So you set MPA as your audio codec but AC3filter as a postprocessor? how do you do that?
I tried all settings in the DTS, didn't matter. Every file with dts audio, the video was perfect but the audio skipped.

"AC3Filter supports both DTS output modes (wrapped and padded). You may set desired mode with “SPDIF/DTS output” option. Auto directs the filter to use wrapped format if possible and padded otherwise."

I believe this is the "auto" setting in ac3filter that made everything work. I'm guessing that MPA doesn't do this?

that extraction information on the first post only talks about mpeg codec (unless I missed it), I am trying to get h.264 codec , so I can't guess which file it is!
anyway I had a very strange thing, I reinstalled my original pdvd8 (from which the h.264 worked), took a copy of the video filters directory, I thought that would be worth a try. Then upgraded pdvd8 to latest patch. h.264 broken as expected. Then I added the original cl264dec.ax to /system32, regsrv32'd it, then added in the dll's as per the beno's post. I now have h.264 available in mp config again. My bluray works in pdvd8 . so far so good. but then when I go to watch h.264 content on mediaportal, it works ALTERNATE times. I switch on bbchd - no picture (black screen), only audio. I change channel to an SD channel, of course it works ok. Change back to bbchd - picture is there! back to sd channel, back to bbchd again - no picture. repeat ad infinitum...same behaviour with recorded content...weirdsville

Any chance you could share that Pdvd8 codec? I'm having problems with the PDVD9 ones for my TV and I no longer have the PDVD8 available.

sorry I missed this request due to work. with all the talk of extracting files from cyberlink sources, not sure if its the done thing to post their apps on here. videofilters from pdvd8 folder zipped would be about 11Meg. Moderators?

I too suffer from DTS audio skipping in (some) of my MKVs when using the MPA codec. ACFilter is the only codec that decoded these particular tracks correctly for me (I've tried many other codecs). I have a Panasonic A/V receiver and it shows me what type of a DTS track is being played, so I've noticed that there are several type of DTS out there. I'd love to stay ACFILTER free, but it doesn't look like it's possible at the moment.
