okay, I need some advice on how to get the graphedit under vista 64bit. I haven't been able to locate a 64bit version of proppage.dll any where.
So is there a way around using the 32bit version og proppage on a 64bit OS.

DAx

I found a way...

Place proppage.dll (the ordinary 32bit version) in sysWOW64 and use the regsvr32.exe located in sysWOW64.

syntax:
%windir%\syswow64\regsvr32.exe proppage.dll

Not sure what went wrong earlier??, but all of the sudden it works?

DAx

PS:
Just found out that Vista has a rightclick option, where you can choose to Register Library or UnRegister Library

You may want to try GraphStudio (3d party). IIRC, it doesn't require proppage.dll.
I won't be able to help with any details, though.
Unforutnately, I can't get GraphEdit *or* GraphStudio to work on my (32 bit) system.

I do use GraphStudio. The proppage.dll file is used to "remote connect" graphstudio to MediaPortal.

But as I stated in my second post #2260 I found a way.

But thanks for your effort :)

    Sample 6 Channel AAC Movie

Using SAF I can only get 2 channels of AAC audio via SPDIF
If I install FFDShow audio codec to handle AAC, then I can get 5.1 channels via SPDIF
Unfortunately havn't been able to install FFDShow audio codec without breaking online videos

Attached is a sample movie with 6 channel AAC

If needed I can provide more samples from other 6 channel AAC movies.
If I play the movie in MPC HC I also only get 2 channel audio.
If I build a graph using FFDShow as audio codec then i get full 5.1 experience

The Gabest MPC MPEG2 decoder can be used with DXVA for DVD and Live MPEG2 TV.

All you have to do is select the option to enable the interlaced flag on the option, and it will pass out the video stream as interlaced, you're videocard will detect this and apply DXVA.

I've confirmed this with various DVD's and Live MPEG2 Tv content on my 780G with 8.11 drivers, using DXVA Checker to unlock all the options on the card, mainly Pulldown Detection.

However there are some issues, for some reason, here in Australia this causes lip sync issues with SBS Two, which isn't present if I use the Cyberlink 9 codec.

To be 100% correct, it will only enable DXVA to be used with the deinterlacing. Of course nowadays MPEG2 decoding on the CPU doesn't matter that much.

    Hoborg,

Is there a way to not let "Multi-Chan PCM" be used? I ask this as when I play a newer movie, say an r5 that doesn't have dts or dolby, it goes to multi-chan pcm on my receiver, the sound just doesn't sound good... also on some movies it "pops" at certain scenes in the movies, almost like speaker crackle.... :(

    cheers!

    Edit:
btw.. it is also stated on page 1 (under "problems") that:
I have bad video quality when playing LiveTV/DVD's and MPEG video.
Yes, it is becouse SAF included MPEG decoder is not perfect, but it is free.
If you want better video quality, you need to unlock SAF (send me PM).
