Can any else advise if they have come across this problem before?

I installed Online videos and setup the codecs as per the SAF codec pack which again works great. 80% of the online contact for this plugin works excpet Youtube and Apple trailer.. Well i say work they do work but i only get approx 2 secs of audio then it goes silent but video still plays.

I have installed QT_lite and the QT filter plugin for MP. I have also told FDDshow to handle the correct codecs for playing this contact.

Is this a common problem ( i have been through the vast thread about other issues playing Qt content but this issue doesnt seem to be covered ).

Install SAF as last one.

Help solve the problem. Gigabyte 780G-UD2H (radeon HD3200), Athlon x2 4050e, 2gb RAM.
Clean install Windows XP pro. Then install the latest version of DirectX. MP 1.1.0.0 + latest SVN. Matroska. Security Update for Windows XP (KB971633). SAF 4.20. (Unlocked). In the setting of MP selected VMR9. When you try to play xvid, divx, etc.. message unable to play. MPEG2 and H264 reproduce normally. I tried different versions of Windows - the same thing. If switching settings MP for EMR - all reproduced. Those same files without the MP when playing WMP - played well, and GRAPH seen that uses ffdshow. HELP PLEASE! sorry for my english

SAF logs pleasae

I seem to have solved this now...

i had to change the H26 video render to FDDshow from the power dvd codec and they all work fine now.

Yes it does DXVA. FYI ATI calls DXVA UVD/AVIVO. You should get UVD2/UVD2.2 if possible. I did a little research and found that HD4670 was highly recommended, not sure if that fits in your budget too.

What is the best H.264 codec for watching live tv.. using atm. PDVD8 with HW decoding on my Asrock ION 330; but deinterlacing is not working great.. on fast moving TV i see some lines like the image in the 1st post: "Here is deiterlacing comparison: (for MPEG2 live TV)"

Coreavc is not working atm on my ION system, to low FPS and audio/video not in sync.

if you see lines you might be using weave deinterlacing, which is the worst type of deinterlacing mode
i thought PDVD8/9 were fairly similar, 9 maybe slightly better than 8.
have you played with the deinterlacing options in CCC? (It's under AVIVO -> Basic video settings. Choose vector adaptive)

I don't have an ATI, it's an ION system by Nvidia.. tbh. on SD channels it's perfect..
