Has anyone tried to play an *.m4v file?

The movie plays fine apart from the sound is only 2 channel.

MediaInfo reports it contains two audio streams. 2 channel AAC and 6 channel AC3.

I cant seem to change audio streams in MP, WMP or MPC-HC. No matter what i do i cant get the 6 channel sound to work.

Try to m4v to MKV remux by mkvmerge...

Thanks. Problem Fixed.

I recently switched to using SAF and so far everything works with the sole exception of my .m2ts files.

When I load the file in Graphfilter, I see that it is using the Gabest splitter, instead of Haali. How do I tell my Widows 7 computer which splitter I want it to use, based on a files extension?

Hi there,
just did an update to 1.10RC1 and the 4.00 stable of SAF, now my XviD Playback is broken, i can hear the sound but there is now picture, only non moving funny colored blocks.
I ave already tred the Avi fix posted in this thread but with no effect, also the experimental build of SAF didnt changed anything.

Could somebody please help?

Reinstall your GPU drivers.

Reinstalling the drivers didnt had any effect.

But i solved the problem, by uninstalling the new Version of SAF, then reinstalling Hali Media Splitter and SAFbeta23test4 and then applying the avi Fix, now i can watch my avi Files again.

But i would be interesting why it dosent work with the 4.00 stable.

Reproduce the problem and post SAF and MP logs - i will take a look.
OK, Thanks. I have attached all relevant logs inside the zip file.

    "DirectVobSub installed: Yes"

Reinstall SAF and this time click no when SAF ask if install DirectVobSub.
OK. That solved the issue. However, there seems to be an issue with the subs. And the reason I clicked yes for DVS install during my SAF installs.

I reinstalled as per your instructions, go to MP config & set DirectVobSub as the preferred sub engine, but it states the app is not installed (click on advanced button). I am forced to change to the MPC-HC engine. It all works good, but I thought MP 1.1.0 & newer automatically installed DirectVobSub?

The WIKI is not much use as it hasn't been amended for the later versions of MP.

As I stated earlier, I think there should be a clarification in your first post about setting up of the subs, as I don't see how I could be the first & only user with this issue. This is definitely not a criticism: your codec pack is a great option for MP users. :D
