First of all, thanks for a great work! I've been usin SAF for quite a while now. Last weeked I upgrader media portal to RC1 and SAF to latest version. Almost everything is running fine, but I've got a problem. Sometimes when I play a recorded tv-show the video/audio is getting out of sync. The sound is played ~0,5s before the video. A pause followed by a play does not get the recording back into sync. But if i skip 15s backwards the recording gets back to sync again. This out of sync problem usually occures after 10-30 minutes playing of a recorded tv-show. HD-movies is working fine. I've not been trying live tv since i almost newer watch live.

I'm not even sure this i related to SAF. Does anybody know how to resolve this? Do you need any special logs? In that case, which logs do you need?

I have not been able to reproduce my audio/video sync problem. But I've got another problem. The recorded video is very stuttering on my laptop with SAF. When i play it in graphstudio it runs smooth but in mediaportal it starts to stutter. I've attached graph and SAF-log.
If I follow the instructions for SAF *Unlocked* I should use cyberlink as mpeg2 video decoder under TV codecs in the MP configuration. As you can se in my attached graph ffmpeg is used. Does my graph look ok and how can I make the recording run smooth in MP?

Sorry, i cannot help you with MP. Wait for next MP version, you will be able to use FFDShow decoder too.

Hi Hoborg,
Where do you read the current GPU for SAF 4.00 Setup?

I repalced my HD3200 IGP through a HD5450 GPU, which is actually running fine (lot better than HD3200).
Deinstall Catalyst, Drivers and SAF, Reboot, Reinstall new Catalyst, Reboot, Reinstall SAF.
SAF Setup still tell me I have HD3200.

No idea why OS keep old hardware info...
I bet your new GPU is located in ...\0001

Hmm, strange. I also ended up with sync problems with the stable SAF v4.00, even live TV had sync problems.
I started by defragmenting my HD which gave me some results by the problem was still there.
Next I cleaned out most of my old recordings, still thinking it was a HD problem, but no.
I ended up downgrading to SAF v4.00 beta 22 and the problems went away.
I think there was a change in the PDVD codec there somewhere and for some reason my ASRock ION330 didn't like the new codec. I use PDVD for LiveTV and for Videos in MP and I run 1.1.0.0 beta on that system.

I'm not holding anything against SAF here, just telling my story if it can help anyone out there. Frankly, SAF is one of the best things out there, without it I'd be thinking about X*MC, now with SAF I'm sticking to MP.

In the middle of all this I also upgraded the nVidia graphics driver (196.74 I think) for my ION. Turns out that this probably was a bad move. I'm now back to v190.07 (I'm not sure about the versions, if needed I can go have a closer look).

Right now it looks like the system is stable but the real test is tonight when the rest of the family gathers around the TV for 'FFFoTV' (Friday Fun, Front of TV). If it's not perfect by then I'll hear it, loudly...

/Jonas...

You are right, but i think the problem is FFDshow audio decoder. There was massive update on passthrough side of FFDshow audio becoder (beta 21 -> 22). So maybe this introduce the problem on some systems.
