Seems like your errors it's related to vmr9 & directx, so re-install it (from here (change the os language as you wish) & try again)

Have you installed all those VC redistribution package(or get them here some filter could be compiled with Visual Studio 2008 so install both) & have you installed Framework 3.5(maybe you already has told but repeat it )?

Else i dunno what it could be other then, drivers mess....

ehhh yeah a bit fast there, grab the vc 2008 sp1 here (think thats the one i last installed), the one for 2005 sp1 should already been installed with MP package if not it is here.

Another thing that it could be, if i remember correct is broken framework, that means re-install framework 2 sp1....

BTW & REBOOT after VC & Framework install to get them working

If you have frameworks 3.0+ installed, try to change renderer to EVR in MP configuration - just for test.

Can you test with EVR as renderer and then repost logs just so we can check same thing is happening, you do have Windows Media Player 11 installed of course.
