how would one change the settings to optimise for 1920x1080 - 60Hz ?

Well, my package have nothing to do with refresh rate. HD means better looking subtitles.
I can add option for HD/FullHD, i think it is no problem.

It simply multiplay video resolution x2, then render subtitles = beter quality subtiles.

If you have video in in 624x352, it will be automaticly doubled to 1248x704. That's the trick.

I don't use your filterpack, mainly because I got it working another way. But, I wanted to tell you that Catalyst 8.8 + PowerDVD gives me videoaccelleration of H.264 files under Windows XP (without subtitles of course).

    8.6 & 8.7 was terrible and BSOD-hell though...

8.8 not working for me (freezes, glitches,...). 8.5 working great, no need to "update".

    Thanks for reply.

A 2nd question is why is PDVD8 (CLVsd8.ax) included when you have h264 set to MPC (MPCVideoDec.ax) ?

Becouse i use CLVsd8.ax for DVD playback (DXVA enabled)
But users can choose, and no need to instal whole PowerDVD...

    I personaly prefer great MPCVideoDec.ax for h.264.

This configuration works simply great and wery stable for me.

I also like MPCVideoDec.ax i find that MPC-HC with internal filters can play all my .mkv files with hardware acceleration no problem.

My problem is that MPC-HC can't play the .ts files recorded by mediaportal.

CoreAVC can play the .ts files

This prevents me from using the MPC H264 Codec for Mediaportal Video

Did you install Haali media splitter to handle yours *.ts files?
Do you have small sample i can try?
Curently, i dont have TV card, so no recording here, but is only a question of time i start to record by myself. So i dont have any experience with these files.

    Hi Hoborg,
just tried your setup and it works. Just one question: when selecting in MP the Cyberlink decoder I hear sound but get a gray screen?
I do not think it is related to your program (have seen this when trying to install newer version of e.g. windvd (version 8). But just could not resist asking it in this thread ;). Running an a nvidia 8500 video card

I update my package, now you can choose TV type - HD/Full HD.

Sorry, i have no personal experience with nVidia cards.
You got "gray screen" only when playing HD video ? Or XVid/DivX too?

It is working when you choose MPC Video decoder?
