How does this work in combination with FFDShow? I seem to be forced to use FFDShow to play back my streams from tass.

I think there might be a bit of conflict between ffdshow and MPC filters as I have seen a similar thing with either ffdshow or MPC filters overriding each other - I don't know if this is because they are both based on similar code (ffmpeg) or something to do with merits?

I have that chipset and I had to unregister VSFilter.dll (DirectVobSub) and delete it in safe mode to get DXVA working- obviously that means subtitles won't work.

WOW jo16v!

Now dxva works! but with a lot of artifacts and screen freezings... any idea why this happens to me?

I experience the same few months ago in MPC-HC, but enabling "lock back buffer" MPC-HC option...i did solve this problem (and only overcharge the cpu in 10%).

I miss this option in MP

Sorry, I am not sure as I do not currently have MP installed (am waiting for RC4). Are you able to access MPC decoder properties in MediaPortal configuration? If not you can access them using Radlight filter manager (download here). Open Radlight and go to Directshow filters> MPC - Video decoder - click property page - you could try changing some of these properties to see if it makes a difference?

Any freezing or mkv file breakup problems I had that were DVXA/MPC related were solved by re-encoding the video files in XVID4PSP. hoborg mentioned that earlier and it worked like a charm.

Tried 3.03 yesterday. MPV (still) gives me stuttering in live PAL TV. When using a different codec for TV, the stuttering stays. Only by uninstalling MPV filter, the stuttering is gone.
