Just finished small video test of new Cat. 9.1
XP:
H264+DXVA (MPC-HC) - broken! (was working under 8.12)
VC-1+DXVA (MPC-HC) - broken! (was working under 8.12)
MPEG2 DXVA deiterlacing broken! (was working under 8.5)
Border around video - not fixed!

So, XP user, don't even try them...
I kind of guessed they were going to give up on XP after 8.12- they finally got most issues fixed in XP for 8.12 like browser lag etc except DXVA for MPEG2 but that's not so important.

Thx for testing! So I should use Cat 8.5 with my onboard HD3200 and everything works fine? Or is there any reason to use an other driver?

Yes, for HD3200 8.5 work best. For Ati 4xxx use cat. 8.12.

I updated to the new version of SAF and it introduced a judder in HD playback and corrupted audio. Everything was working well in 3.30 but 3.40 would not let me use AC3 filter as a decoder. Even when selected the graph would show that it was using MPC audio decoder! Not sure why this happened but it used to be an issue with older versions and was fixed.

Try to replace "MpaDecFilter.ax" in window\system32 by one from mediaportal folder - it is your audio working now?

Yes, for HD3200 8.5 work best. For Ati 4xxx use cat. 8.12.

What about the chipset driver did you use the latest or the 8.5, too?

I was using one from 8.5 drivers, no problem at all.
