I meant the Cyberlink AVC/h.264 decoder:D - I think they have modified the latest version of the PDVD8 and PDVD9 h.264 decoder so you can't use it in anything else other than PowerDVD.

This not true,, at least it is working for me in MP. you just need some other dll to copy from original installation:
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ediaportal-saf-44614/index114.html#post388434

Now I only have the problem that MP is incredibly slow, it freezes for a couple of seconds everytime I browse through the menu, which kinda sucks ;(

I think for this issue you needs this:
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/blue3-skin-feedback-293/do-we-really-need-packed-textures-55616/

It is working 100% for me, even mediaportal's starting time is 1/3 of the original now.

The other thing I did was turned off every plugin that wasn't necessary, and removed the items from the menus. By default they have some goofy stuff, like tetris and sudoku. Turn all the stuff off and only have the items you need in the menus.

Also, run MP in window mode, and have the task manager open in the background. Check your cpu usage as you move around. If your cpu is spiking over 90% you may need to clean up your computer, kill some background processes to free up some cpu. Perhaps your ram is used up and windows is swapping to the hard drive? Just some ideas of things to look for outside of MP. Good luck!

Good ideas, will do so when I get back home tonight. The thing is though: It ran smoothly before I installed the latest SVN and SAF, so either the SVN or SAF messed things up a bit. If you check my signature (even though it's in German), you'll figure that my PC should be sufficient for MP..

I think for this issue you needs this:
Do we really need Packed Textures?

Will try that also, sounds interesting ;)

I'll found some files it doesnt like..They play but so jerky it is unwatchable

Im using: saf 3.3 with CLVsd.ax MP 1.0
the files work ok with media player classic(on different pc) and have these specs:
    type : KLCP.AVI
    Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 560x464 25.00fps 539Kbps [Video 0]
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 48000Hz stereo 160Kbps [Audio 1]
I thought Id ask here before I started screwing with settings at random. Any ideas?

First - try it in latest version of MPC-HC player on your HTPC with MP - it is OK?

Chceck CPU usage - if it is more then 90%, you hit jackpot.

Do you know what version you are using? The site I read stated that the latest PowerDVD 8 Build 2521 and PowerDVD 9 Build 1501 have directshow disabled so won't work in other apps.

Yeah, and with the new version of media portal and saf I cannot let the mpa codec registered. I have to unregister and then use ac3filter. If I leave both registered and select the ac3 filter in MP configuration it will use mpa the same way.
Having to unregister mpa cause problem with sound on some old files. :/
Maybe we should post on mpc-hc foruns.

do you know what board the mpc/mpa people post on?

I was loking for their forum and found this post:
DTS passthrough problem on GA-EP45-DS3L / Realtek ALC888 using spdif - AVS Forum

I also have a Realtek ALC888 sound card, so maybe the bug is related to that. What's your card?

    Edited:
Ok, the most active MPC-HC thread appears to be this one:

Let's register and try to find some answers.

Same chipset on my motherboard. I also was using a chaintech av-710 card and had the same results, so I believe the problem to be with MPA. Like the thread you posted, ac3filter works with the right settings. :)
