I will use mkvtoolnix, but then how can i upload a small video here?

Well, it's strange.
I use mkvmerge with the file:

Naruto Shippuuden [4x26-27] - The Four-Corner Sealing Barrier.mp4

and then it will turn into:

Naruto Shippuuden [4x26-27] - The Four-Corner Sealing Barrier.mkv

And with the format *.mkv, the MP plays the file.

But, MP don't play *.mp4?

And how can i post a small video example without change the format? I only know with mkvmerge, but it change the format to *.mkv.

Just a brainstorm here; all the talk about DXVA, is it really that important if i have a powerful cpu? I got a Intel C2D E8400 (2x3GHz), and it's cooled down to 40-55°C, meanwhile my GPU (HD3650) has a passive cooling solution and passes 70°C easily.

So, in my case it might be better to disable DXVA? It doesn't increase the video quality, does it?

If you have a powerful cpu, it's not important at all.

Try just to rename your files from MP4 to MKV.

Hi there, I have DXVA working perfectly in MPC-HC in WinXP SP3 with a 780G mobo and Catalyst 9.4 driver. But in MPC-HC, the CTRL-J command to view DXVA stats doesn't work. does this mean anything? And is it also suppose to work in MP?

    Hello!
After upgrade my 2nd MP to V1.0.1.0 and SAF347 it isn't able to play any kind of video anymore! :(
With MP1.0 an SAF315 everything was fine!
I've uninstalled MP and SAF and reinstalled it but this didn't help! :(

My 1st MP works fine with MP 1.0.1.0 and SAF347!

Is PowerDVD HW decoding working with 9.4 as well?

I don't have PowerDVD (do have CLVSD, but don't have BluRay or HDDVD player or discs, only mkv files). But it works fine in MPC and MP. Just don't get to see the DXVA details.

    Please Ignore - Wrong thread!!

Don't know if it's related but I have the ma-780g based board and had all sort of problems till I updated to the latest onboard sound drivers.. mine has an onboard hd3200. no idea if you're in the same boat but when I saw the other thread about sound I thought I'd mention it.. I had lots of stability issues and could only get hdcp right after I upgraded the sound.. gluck

Im using MP 1.01 and SAF 3.47 with CLVsd.ax
With DXVA on and watching digital tv i get : ( about )
12-30 % cpu use with a HD channel
8-15 % cpu use with SD
That was with 3 tuners going(2 recording & 1 to watch / with timeshift on) with a 3-4 yr old 3800X2 amd with a 8500gt.
Im pretty pleased with that--looks like i wont have to upgrade for a while yet.
    just 2 cents

hoborg is there any reason why you don't include details of how to extract the Cyberlink H.264 decoder? It is included in the PowerDVD trial also. Works great for H.264 DXVA HDTV here.
