I will try. Just a question, If I disable subtitles in SAF, how I will be able to see the subtitles?

For test reason.

And what about MPC-HC player, did your video woking fine?
Yes I tested with Media Player Classic too. Same problem, still stuttering. Sorry guys, its really the case. I know is bit unbelievable, but that is the trues.

OK, good to know - it looks like driver problem...
How many memory do you assigned to your iGPU in BIOS?

I set the maximum, 512Kb as per your instruction on the first side.

Well, last think to try is disable DXVA (using REG files inside SAF package).

ok, I did. Now I tested, it seams the problem is solved. But pls give me some time to test it with more movies. Theoretically DXVA is supported by the GPU, so strange....

But what I saw that the I do not have clear pictures when something is moving fast in the movie, there are some strange horizontal lines in it. Unfortunately I can not describe to you. :-(

That is vertical sync. You can force it in the nvidia control panel.
What seems strange to me is the cpu usage you gave let me think you already didnt use DXVA, so the reg thing shouldnt have changed a thing. Especially if you have the same problem with ffdshow ...

Hi

Could anyone help me trying to get EVR to work properly in Media-Portal. I have no issues when using MPC-HC externally but when I select the EVR renderer option in media-portal settings and load up any video file the color ranges are totally off (black = grey).

I have checked the files in graphstudio and it appears that video renderer is being used as default in graphstudio and EVR merit is set to DO_NOT_USE and I am unable to change it.

Latest version of SAF does not fix the issue. Any help is appreciated as it is really driving me mad trying to fix this.

I have attached my mediaportal log as I am not sure if media-portal is actually trying to use EVR correctly.

Thanks

So I forced vertical sync. not much changed... Anyway I switched from SAF to FFDshow, I increased the number of pre-rendered frames to maximum 8, and its better now. (what setting do you have? which nvidia driver version do you use?)

I would need a little help. I have the following motherboard Gigabyte GA-E7AUM-DS2H. (nvidia Geforce 9400 chipset)
I have problems with playing 1080p or 720p mkv films, on my HTPC. All films are stuttering at playback.
I use mediaportal 1.0.2 and I have SAF v3.47 installed. I tried everything, installed the latest nvidia driver, but nothing changed. Changed the settings, no change.
Any idea what the problem could be? I do not know what kind of informations do you need to analyze the problem, so pls let me know.

Thank you in advance for your help!

I have the same problem with SAF. What helped for me is the following. Install SAF en unregister mpadecfilter.ax en install AC3filter. I also installed the mpc-hc subtitle engine and stuttering DTS sound and video is gone. When i install SAF and AC3Filter the stuttering comes back. Probably dual audio decoding. After removing the mpadecfilter.ax problem is gone. Only problem left is that some .avi files have no audio at the moment.

Hoborg - i'm not currently using SAF due to it not likely our 1080i DVB-T H264 HDTV. However i'm interested in knowing how you got around the mkv subtitles problem. My setup uses PDVD8 H264 + MPCVIDEODEC.AX + HAALI SPLITTER. If I have vsfilter installed and i have haali set to autoload subtitles then whenever i play an HD mkv with subtitles dxa is disabled. If i right click and turn off subtitles, then vobsub is still part of the graph so i have no dxva. Therefore i set autoload vsf-filter = no, so I can still get dxva with mkv with embedded subtitles. I get the error No decoder for this track SRT8 can be found. Is there a solution for this problem. I can't upgrade to MP1.0.1/1.0.2 because this makes 1080i really suttery. What was your solution for this problem? I'm happy to have subtitles permanently disabled for MP since i hardly ever watch movie with subtitles. Is there a way to have MP reconstruct the graph when you turn on/off subtitles?
