After the installation of SAF i can't play any movie from the german Maxdome.
Maxdome is using WMV-Files with DRM.
When i deactivate the WMV 1/2/3 function from the MPC codec i can't play any WMV-Movie.
After removing SAF i can watch the movies from Maxdome again.

Is there a possibility to deactivate the WMV Support in SAF. I think i have to use the original Windows WMV-Codec.

Run CMD as administrator (no need on XP) and write:

regsvr32.exe wmvdecod.dll

This will re-enable MS DMO decoder - but you will loose DXVA for WMV format.

I was thinking of including some ATI registry tweeks in to SAF, but there are to many variables (GPU series, OS versions, 32bit. VS 64bit OS, drivers version, ... and i i have only small experience with it.)

Have a look at this then:
ATI HD Registry Tweaks for HTPCs

And check the links to AVS Forum further down the page. There, they give a detailed description on every option. I have used the registry tweaks all last year, but are unsure if all the options still are "valid", since the drivers have come a long way the past year (last year I had a HD2400 pro agp <-- crappy hardware)

Yes, I was never game to try those tweaks on later versions, as they did seem to be rather old. Does anybody know if they are stil good with Catalyst 9.5 and above?

i dont think it is a malfunction of MPA Decoder, it's just that if you select SPDIF it does SPDIF passthrough for AAC, its just that nearly every receiver can't handle 5.1 AAC so it's a malfunction of the AV receiver/amp not MPA Decoder. So if you add a seperate decoder for 5.1 AAC then it can reformat to AC3 and pass through to the AV receiver/amp. anyway thanks for SAF hoborg, working great!

I see you are running Windows 7 and were able to unlock SAF. I unfortunately wasn't able to do so. Hoborg was kind enough to PM me instructions but I had no luck. Could you maybe write what you did step by step? Maybe I misunderstood something on his read me...

If I recall correctly did exactlly what was in his PM. {I seemed to have deleated his PM }I thnk it was some like drop his 'updater' file into sys-32 folder and run his latest SAF beta. Sorry I cant help I'm going to have to ask him to PM me again incase I need to to a rebuild when I install RTM.:sorry:

okay, I need some advice on how to get the graphedit under vista 64bit. I haven't been able to locate a 64bit version of proppage.dll any where.
So is there a way around using the 32bit version og proppage on a 64bit OS.
