OK, upgraded from SAF3.7 to beta9 and having a few issues. When I installed SAF4 it asked me to uninstall PDVD8 that I had on my system - done. FYI I also have PDVD9 on as well.d

During the installation (I was following the guide afaik) it did not detect powerdvd even though it was installed and I could run it. Tried reinstalling SAF but no joy in PDVD detection. Hence when I look under available codecs for h264 the only one is MPC

Also, it is refusing to show HD channels or any progs recorded off HD channels, it will play HD mkv, mp4 files.

Have I missed something somewhere or is this a bug?

I upgraded from 3.47 now and everything is just perfect!

I just ignored the advices about my version of PDVD. I don't care about PDVD because I use Arcsoft as external player for DVDs and BDs... for me, Arcsoft is the best player for this discs.

I have an audio error with My Traillers, but that error was there before and I don't care so much about my trailler... I never had lucky with this traillers stuff since the times I used XBMC with my Xbox :)

Not SAF related I think, but since the knowledge in this thread seems above average, I'll ask here :)

When watching TV and DXVA is enabled (PDVD 9 codec) the channel logos have kind of a flashing shadow, the edges around the picture also is kind of jumpy.. the TV-picture is good though. With DXVA disabled the logos is crisp and fine and the edges doesn't jump. Any ideas what may cause this anyone.

BTW - Very happy SAF 4.09 user :D

    Screenshot will be fine :)

My tip is that DXVA is not working correctly (drivers issue).

I have the same issue if I try to use PowerDVD (8 or 9 doesn't matter) for MPEG2 TV on my XP box. For now I'm using the Nvidia decoder instead which works really well. I don't have SAF installed so it doesn't have anything to do with that :)

    Just to now:
I finaly got my SSD replace.
    Instaled Win7 x64 RTM - takes ~10 minutes.
Win7 boot and start downloading 2 updates, first one was Audigy driver and second unknow, becouse it ends in BSOD. Really nice wellcome Win7 :)
try installing and updating win7 using a VGA Cable connection to your monitor. I have been trying to install win7 since it was relaced, until a couple of days ago i finally google-searched my way to someone who had the answer. Apparently it was a problem with the built in gfx driver, that made the installation crash when using dvi or hdmi until "real" drivers were installed.
it may not be te same problem at all, but maybe it will help.

that being said, first time user of saf myself and only one problem so far: I can´t play HDTV. Not live/recorded tv and not when i import mt HDTV recordings to ie. movingpictures.

how can I produce a logfile?
