I have tried it with ffdshow, but for sure some Audio-DVDs don't work here with ffdshow Audio -> Link! With AC3Filter all is working fine! I attachh my settings!

Simply tick Pass-through for AC3 and DTS at the Output tab.

I have a couple of questions:

1. What does it mean to "unlock" a SAF install, and why isn't it done as default?
2. It says in the install notes that there is no need to extract the PowerDVD file if you have unlocked SAF, why is that?

How to unlock SAF ?

HI, I'm in the process of re building ny HTPC using Vista 64 (frim Xp-32).
I never have success with SAF and I was using only haali/powerdvd8/vsfilter.
DVD and AVIs (ripped to disk) were stuttering though during panning scenes. HD Material (Bluray and m2ts files from HD camcorder worked flawlessy with DXVA).
I understand the unlocked version of SAF will enable HD, can someone please PM me how to unlock SAF ?

Hi hoburg under win 7 still MS DTV-DVD Audio Codec is used for LiveTV, Record playback even when i select ffdshow audio.

Two serious deficiencies...

@els - try reinstalling medialooks quicktime & quicktime alternative followed by a reboot. that has solved that problem for me in the past.

You must install SAF as last one.
Do you have last version of Online videos plugin ?
BTW, it is not 0.11111% but 0,00001%

Two serious deficiencies:

1. Financial calculator, where we have seen (0.11111% = 0.00001%)? I apologize for it ...
2. Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS, only an "S"). Yesterday after installing the SAF v4.00RC1 * unlocked * and get the success of 99.99999%, turned the computer off and went to sleep ...
   Today, success was reduced to 0.00001%. Then I remembered that yesterday when I installed MP 1.1.0 BETA 1 and soon after the SAF v4.00RC1 * unlocked *, I had closed the Kaspersky Internet Security. I closed KIS again and success was 100.00000%.
   I can not find the KIS that is affecting, for items that are blocked access to the Internet, are not related to the MediaPortal, OnlineVideos, MyTrailers, etc. ..

Who help me figure out what KIS is blocking, gains a kiss. Excuse the pun, but this was awesome!

Issue with 4:3 DVD Playback - Black Bars

Hi hoborg!

I have black bars on the left and the right side, if i play a 4:3 DVD! Blue Botton only stretches vertical! Logs and Screenshots are attached!

Can you check following:
Start Menu, Programs, SAF, ffdshow configure video
Then select in left panel select Resize & Aspect
Is RESIZE checked in right panel? If so remove and test again.
