    Re: SAF v4.00beta (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (MPEG2, H.264 and VC-1).

Cyberlink now have a combined Video Decoder codec (current version 1.0.0.1105) for MPEG-2/H.264/VC-1. I've been using it for the last 24 hours on a lot of test files and I'm getting amazing performance with DXVA, CPU hovering around 7% for Recorded 1080i content and 10% for Live-TV 1080i. Might be worth looking in to to replace in Unlocked version of SAF.

Just need the devs to enable the Cyberlink directshow settings in Config for this codec.

I use the same codec; no problems so far..

    AW: SAF v4.00beta (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (MPEG2, H.264 and VC-1).

    Thank you for the link!

Where do they have these codecs?
Is there a way to install only the Cyberlink-Codecs?

How does it work to enable these in MP?

    Edit:
OK I intslled now only the Cyberlink-codecs...
And I can select them in MP without any change?!?

only select the CyberLink MPEG-2/H.264/VC-1 Video Decoder (PDVD9) v1.0.0.1105, and yes; just select them (see attachment)
Using also saf btw. for rest; but only Cyberlink for TV; the only best solution for me now :p

    Hi,
    I just upgraded from SAF4.00beta8 to beta22.
The problem I had with time-delayed video / tv with AC3 has been solved. :D

But now I have problems with myTrailers in HD. It starts, also with audio, but then audio gets delayed or disappers. Video has stuttering.
With SAF4.00beta8 HD trailers worked perfectly.
The rest (tv SD, tv HD, .avi, .mkv, .ts, all in SD and HD work with mpeg or AC3 audio).

I have MP 1.0.2 and use PDVD9 codecs for SD and HD.
    Audio Codec is ffdfilter.
Anything I could try to overcome this problem?

    Re: SAF v4.00beta (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (MPEG2, H.264 and VC-1).

    Hi,

I just reinstalled my htpc and now have problems with H264 MKVs.

    My System:
    - Win7 Professional
    - Mediaportal 1.1
    - Moving Pictures 1.0.1
    - SAF latest beta

I installed it like described in the first post, during install I got a warning that my DirectX was out of date, but I couldn't find a newer version on the DX download page.

The strange thing is: Sometimes it works but directly after that the movie won't play. I then get the message:
Playback not possible, Video Codec V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC, Audio Codec: DTS

What can I do to fix this? And I don't understand how to use GraphStudio, if that does matter :-/

Edit: Just tested: If I start mediaportal playback of the movie works. Then I stop it (b on keyboard) and restart it and now I get the error message ...

    Re: SAF v4.00beta (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (MPEG2, H.264 and VC-1).

I have got a problem playing some of MKV videos.

    I've NVidia ION + Atom 330 platform.
I'm using latest MP 1.1.0 SVN Build 25553 (also tried previous).
Everything playing fine except two movies.
After installing CoreAVC2.0 videos are playing but cannot turn on DXVA...NVidia CUDA also not working :(

    Code:
    Format : Matroska
    Format profile : High@L3.1
    Format settings, CABAC : Yes
Format settings, ReFrames : 9 frames
    Muxing mode : Container profile=Unknown@3.1
    Codec ID : V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC

You should first post a sample for hoborg to check.

I assume since it plays with coreavc added, then it doesn't work with mpc-hc codec and it starts working when you switch to coreavc codec. You could confirm this with graphstudio. I imagine that if the file won't play in MPC-HC standalone then it is a problem with the MPC-HC mpeg4 codec and not with the SAF codec pack or mediaportal. In which case you should post to the MPC-HC website forum and not here.
