-AC3Filter doesnt pass through Dolby True HD
-FFDshow can pass through dolby true hd.
But is there also a difference where AC3filter can not handle it? If I were to play the Dolby True HD sample, does AC3filter passthrough normal DTS/DD instead? Or is there no sound at all in that case?

No sound at all. AC3 filter is not capable to decode AC3+ (Dolby TrueHD) but it will autoload in to graph if AC3 decoding is enabled = no sound.

Hi,

I did a complete reinstall of my HTPC yesterday and I am now on W7 64 with MP 1.1.0 Beta + latest SVN. All seems to be working as before but when I am using MPC-HC h.264 I get 2 smaller videos (playing side by side) instead of a single full screen video. Same result when I play the video in MPC-HC player. Did I miss a setting? I am using latest SAF (unlocked).

I am not able to reach my HTPC at the moment so I can't post a screen shot and logs but will do if necessary.

That is a bug in MPC decoder, it should be fixed in next MPC version.

I currently have the SAF Beta 22 unlocked. DTS passthrough does not work for me (shock), so I installed AC3 filter in order to get it working which sorted it out. However, I am having problems watching x264 contents. MediaPortal starts to play the file, and completes approx 1 second later and toggles the file as watched. This happens in TVSeries, MovingPictures and My Videos.

When I try to play the files in MP-HC it works as it should.

Please advise.

Wow, I'm jealous. HW accel of Xvid/DivX. What graphics card have you got, 'cos my ATI HD3200 doesn't HW accel avi's with MPC decoder at all.

None GPU will accelerate xvid/divx by DXVA, only h.264,VC-1 and MPEG-2 are supported

heh, that's what I thought. At least I know I'm not missing out on anything (although i still can't seem to get MPEG-2 DXVA working).

I notice that DXVA Checker lists three resolutions for DXVA. Is it because I'm in the UK and the TV broadcasts are 720x576, not 720x480, that DXVA doesn't work?



If it's not that, are there some wrong settings here that would prevent MPEG-2 DXVA decoding on a dual-screen?

get beta23test4 (latest), passthrough works fine with that one.

Thanks. The main problem was the problem with H264 movies, but the upgrade solved this as well.

Just installed beta 23 test 4. Works really great for everthing i throw at it. AC3 and DTS passthrough, and Flac and TrueHD decoded to LPCM, only got a 4xxx-card still, so no HD-audio passthrough.

The only thing needed now is DTS-MA to LPCM decoding.
