hi i wrote this in new topic but no ansers , maybe better luck here....

i can't rewind with XVID .but i can with other file types.
fastforward works fine , , but with XVID videos rewind does not work probably (no preview while rewinding) so the image freezes on last frame and the time bar goes back alone.
fastforward works fine with XVID too.

I use SAF4 without any problems.
Now I want to use totalmedia theatre 3 to play bluray (with menu) and experiment with 3D (maybe powerdvd 10 also).
(on windows 7 64bit and MP 1.1.1)

I'am a little afraid of messing up my MP with good working SAF4.

Do others have experience with this ?

SAF totally screws up video/audio sync!

I'm running MP 1.1.0 Final on Windows 7 Uptimate x64. Uninstalled and are back on running latest FFDShow for x64 and AC3Filter, and now it works great again.

You cannot use x64 decoder in x86 aplication :D

BTW, you should try SAF5, it is FFDShow based.

AW: SAF v4.00 ''stable'' (StandAlone Filters) - DXVA ready (H.264 and VC-1).

    Hey hoborg,

I am running in a problem with my iPhone4-Videos (.mov). Actually I get no sound. Renaming them to .movsd leads to an error message when starting. I tried SAF5, which worked fine on the .mov, but then my videos from my DSLR (Nikon D90; .avi in mjpeg-codec) did only play with huge stuttering (but no dropped frames), so I like to stay with SAF4 (since everything else works fine too).

Checking Graphedit on that .mov file when playing showed that only the video pin got connected. I am running on Win7 and using the Win7-Codecs since every other codec messes something up (either .xvids or my hd channels or something else). Quicktime is installed.

You have any idea how to solve this?

    Hi.
*.movsd should work, just make sure you have latest QT alternative Lite installed.

Can you post small AVI sample of problematic video?

    Hi hoborg,

thanks for your reply. I got it working. I had to uninstall and reinstall saf and quicktime alternative. Now it works. Great! Any idea how to remove the medialooks logo in the upper left corner on these .movsd files now?

    Hi The_Stig,

To my knowledge the only way to remove the logo is to buy the QuickTime Alternative commercial version (ie non free version)
