Re: SAF v4.10 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Hello.
I have several *.mkv files with multiple tracks of Audio and Subtitle.
Do i need to download "MPC-HC subtitle engine: support MPC splitters" ?

This is in the first page:

NOTE:
-you will need to apply latest MediaPorta patch to support Audio/Subtitle switching, you can found them here.

Why not to include this in the SAF 5.00?

This is part of MediaPortal, not decoders.

That is not for MP users, MePo have its own subtitle engine.
If you want to use FFDshow subtitle engine, disable subtitles in MePo configuration.

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

Can you direct me to exact file? I tested ~20 files and all play without any problem (Popular and New category)

For me nothing works for Popular and new category (sound but black screen). Very strange. I uninstalled SAF 4.0 and after install SAF 5.0 without enabling subtitles.
I have also installed Adobe flash player for IE. I don't understand what happens.
Any lead to identify my issue?

Try again and post your MePo LOGs.

What MePo is? How can i gather LOGs?

What do you suggest, what is the best? Use the MPC enigne trought the MePo configuration or disable that and use the FFDshow subtitle engine. What are the pros and cons?
Thanks in advance!

Re: SAF v5.00 experimental (based on FFDShow DXVA decoder)

    Hi there,

I have just installed SAF5 beta (420) in an attempt to get blueray m2ts files to play (couldn't get it to work with SAF4 stable).

I have followed your advice on post 1 which says to try opening the media file with graphstudio to see if that will play and firstly, .m2ts is not listed in the video filetypes. If I select "all files" then select a video file from the streams folder on a BR disc, the it says "cannot render file" which your post 1 says is a "player problem". Similarly, if I try to play the file with MPC HC I get the same message, and if I play with MePo, I get "unable to play 0003.m2ts".

Below are an an extract from my logs from MePo when I try to play the disc (using blueray handler via Moving Pictures), notably there are a few lines where it says that VMR9: Pin: 0 not connecter (and for pin 1 and 2 too).

Any ideas what is happening? I would dearly love to get rid of my external player and use the BR handler!

I am using XP with MePo 1.1.0.0 RC2. If you need full logs then let me know and I will upload.

    Thanks in advance
