How can you safely remove a USB stick (inserted to play media files located on it) without switching out (ALT+TAB) or ALT+ENTER to get at the notification icon? Is there a plugin for this, or a menu item somewhere?

Thanks

I am unaware of any such plug-in for Media Portal.

You can make sure write caching is disabled and you "shouldn't" have any issues just pulling it out. I work in IT and use them all day everyday and have never had a problem doing that. Just make sure the light is not flashing and nothing is being written to the memory stick when you pull it out.

Disable Write Caching:

-Right click on the device (ie. a removable hard disk drive)
-Properties
-Hardware
-You choose the device
-Properties
-Policies
-Optimize for quick removal

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

Sorry, it's my fault -- I did not notice that you are using MP2. :( MP1 has a separate configuration utility, similar to "TV Server Config". I have tried MP2 only a couple of times, and have never used it seriously. I don't know what MP2 supports with regard to adjusting audio delay, but I do know that all of the adjustments of...

yes that is indeed what I did in that ticket. It may already be working without updating those plugins because most of it was not relevant to the plugin itself (test, some leftover unused parts etc).
