Sorry for the delay, but I was away, on a Holiday:oops:

Will post the logs in a few days...

Was on holiday again and then waited for the final release of MP :sorry:

Currently scanning on a complete new setup, but sofar I seem to have the exact same problems. The first sat shows mainly new channels (and some updated), but as soon as the scanning proces starts with the 2nd sat, I get only updates...

I have attached all the logfiles after scanning 4 sats & hope you can find the problem...

I reinstalled everything once again to a bare minimum (Windows 7 - 32bit, Tevii drivers, MP 1.2), but get exactly the same result.
Was hoping some other software would be causing this strange diseqc switch not working problem.

I see a lot of errors in the error.log but have no idea what to do with those errors.

Any ideas of what I can do extra to reveal & solve the problem?

BTW: those channels on the first sat that are found do work in preview mode...

    Hi Mars Warrior

    It looks to me like your assessment of the problem is correct - DiSEqC switching is simply not working. The errors in the logs are all the failed tunings from trying to tune channels on the other 3 satellites that are not close to frequencies on the first satellite. I don't think this is a MediaPortal problem because other Tevii cards can use DiSEqC correctly. It could be a compatibility problem between the tuner and the switch built into the dish.

    Have you got any other software that you can test with - DVBViewer or similar?
    Are you using the latest drivers from Tevii (note: their website seems to be down right now :()?

    Thanx for checking this. It has been a very long time since I was a programmer (for TVE2), and a lot has changed since then :eek:

    Before the installation of MP I used DVBLink/MCE and DVBViewer + Recording Service on the exact same hardware and using the exact same Tevii drivers, so I was expecting that MP would work too!

    I can reinstall DVBViewer once more (will be next week) to see if DVBViewer is still working on this installation.

    If you could handle TVE2 then you could handle TVE3. :D

    Right - that would be a fair expectation. Maybe the switch needs the commands sent twice or something. Try the attached DLL. Stop TV Server, take a backup of the existing one (in the TV Server install folder) then replace it with the attached one. The other thing you could try is using the DVB-S network provider and "stop card" instead of "pause card". Those settings are both in the tuner settings as described -->here<-- (preferred network provider and when card enters idle state...).

    I can reinstall DVBViewer once more (will be next week) to see if DVBViewer is still working on this installation.
    That would be great.

    I look forward to an update. :)

    Well, no luck. Tried you modified version and get the same results. I see that you tune twice:

    =====

    My next thing was to check DVBViewer. I used the trial, downloaded also the Astra/Hotbird settings and could watch tv within a few minutes:

    And another one:

    (DVBV - Astra 23.5 - ASTRA-HD.2785.png).

    In other words: no problems at all!!!!

    Just installed MP 1.2.1 and currentlyy scanning Astra on 28.2, but sofar I get only updated channels, instead of finding new channels!

    In other words: MP 1.2.1 doesn't seem to solve the problem.

    Nice!

    I just retested for Astra 28.2 with the [flag] and [noflag] library with the same results: no new channels, only updates...

    I have added two zip files, one with the logs from the [flag] library and one from the [noflag] library test.
    I hope the logs will give you extra info!

    Hi again Mars Warrior

    To be completely honest I am baffled. :(
    Just last week (Friday 23 Sept) I purchased an S480 for MediaPortal testing and support. It arrived on Friday and I've been testing it for the past hour or so. It works perfectly with my EMP Centauri 9x8 multiswitch. I know there are three major differences in our setups (2 x S470 vs. S480, multytenne dish vs. multiswitch, W7 vs. XP) but at least my testing tells me that MediaPortal *does* support DiSEqC switching with TeVii tuners.

    I guess my next question would be how have you connected the two tuners to the dish - have you got the twin output dish?
    Have you tried testing with the second tuner?
    Why are you using the DVBS network provider (best to use the generic one for the moment I think)?
    What happens if you just test with a single transponder - try pick something with a different FEC rate (I can't test 5/6 here, only 3/4 and 2/3):

    Frequency = 11307000
    SR = 27500
    Polarisation = Vertical
    Modulation = Not Set
    Inner FEC Rate = Not Set (or 2/3)
    *DVB-S2 scanning disabled*

    Try both of the tuners and each of the DiSEqC settings with the original 1.2.1 TVLibrary.dll. If that doesn't work we'll have to contact TeVii support about this issue as I don't have any further ideas at this point...
