If you are sure the update completed, you probably have to try and "clear" all of your channels from within the setuptv.

If you clear all your channels, run the auto-tune/scan again, then let the plugin go to work.
Save THIS log after the FIRST update and post it here. It will show the matches and why.

(p.s. Check to allow matching by channel number)

Hello Patrick thanks for the advice. It seems like just hitting "clear" to delete all the channels doesn't work. I had to press "clear" and then also delete the tv groups that had been created. Also for some reason the channels I was having problems with were listed under radio channels. So I also deleted those too and rescanned everything and let the plugin match by channel number. It worked and now I have guide info for all my channels. Thank you.

One more thing: The QAM channels (which are my locals in HD) all got renamed as "0 KNBCDT" and "0 KABCDT", etc. This is no problem because I can still input the channel number I mapped them to within mediaportal and it will change to the right channel. However, it bugs me cosmetically, will it mess up the plugin if I rename the channel to "404 KNBCDT".

You "should" be able to rename once it is mapped but others have had issues saying that it remapped the channels. I will have to check this out. If you have problems with it let me know and I will check into.

hmm...I wonder if I broke this with remap on lineup change detected enabled.

I finally got it all working correctly. Come to find out I needed to make some changes in the channels.dbo in MS SQL. Got to looking around in there and found that in the column "external id" some channels had the wrong info or no info what so ever. The info in the columns contained schedules direct xlmid #, the channel # and schedules direct.org. Like this for example (5454.45.schedulesdirect.org). After typing in the correct info in these fields everything worked great. Thanks all for your help:D

    Hi Patrick,

Is the source available for the TVE3 plugin? I would like to update the version we have in the svn if it is. Thanks.

    Hi diehard,

I really do not see any reason to put it in with the distribution.
U.S. users are a minority so fixes, etc would not take priority from the dev team.
Since MP is soon to be replaced with MPII it would probably prevent any further fixes/enhancements down the road should the service change.

    Thanks,
    patrick

    Hi Patrick,

I'm having some difficulty using this to set up my channels. I have a hauppauge hvr1600. So, I have the OTA ATSC tuner, and the analog tuner connected to a cable box. I have two lineups selected in Schedules, one is local broadcast, and the other is comcast. It adds the lineup for the local broadcast flawlessly, but never adds any channels for the second lineup. Any ideas how to set this up? Thanks for the help.

    Hi!

Around the checkbox for auto-adding digital channels there should be another checkbox to auto-add analog channels.
(Can be easy to miss that it is for analog being so close to the digital checkbox)

    Hi!

Well as a first guess ;)
With a lineup like Dish/DirectTV/DigitalCable the first update will take a while depending on the number of days you request, the number of channels you have and the speed of your PC. Only seeing half you channels with data often means it only got part way through the update.
If you stopped the process part way you may try forcing an update on next startup in the plugin config.
If you did stop it part way, you might end up having to clear your guide and start over to get it to work correctly as it uses the last program date/time in the db to determine if another update is needed.

P.S. If it fails again, save the log after the failed update an post it. (epg.log for MP stand alone, tv.log for TVE3)

    HTH,
    patrick
