This one should be helpful

hmmm...

Looking at your log it looks like you have several tuner cards.
Lets start with just the analog card and digitalcable lineup.

I am going to assume this is you setup:
-Coax in for analog channels and an external input (like s-video) for the digital channels

Since, like you said, your channel mapping is already screwed up:
Code:
Channel WMPN (actually WMAH) was found as 4 WMPN (actually WMAH) in EPG mapping database
Channel WMAUDT (WMAU-DT) was found as 0 WMAUDT (WMAU-DT) in EPG mapping database

Can you clear your channels and then run the auto-tune/scan again for the Analog ONLY card(s)?
(Don't rename them, they should be just a number)
Then in the plugin config check Allow matching by channel number only (cannot remember the exact words atm)?

It looks like you have a couple of digital channels in this lineup also. If you have these coming in via s-video or something then you can add these manually or allow the plugin to auto-add digital channels.
(If auto-adding you may have to assign the channels to a card after they are added)

Save the log after this so you can post it if there are problems.

After this is all setup correctly then come back and do the same for OTA ATSC and add your local lineup.

I can ramble at times so if this is not clear just ask.

Let us know how it goes.

Sounds easy enough. I'll give it a go when I get home. However I should clear something up. I am only using one of my cards (Avermedia M780) at the moment till I get these EPG issuses solved. I am using the analouge tuner for basic cable and the digital tuner recieves QAM (those digital channels). THANKS

I have a dual setup with 1 analog and 1 ATSC QAM - I had to actually set the names of my channels to the NAME that schedules direct uses (ie. XYZTDT) - etc. - When it would lookup information using channel numbers it would use the QAM channel # it was detected on - (like 105 for example) - but the schedules direct digital listing for my cable provider would have that same channel as (708) - the plug in would default and map the channel to the cable providers 105 channel number  - which of course would give me the wrong channel information.. SOoo i forced the mapping using the channel names and all is well now.. Analog channels would map without any problems because they would use the same # that the cable provider uses..

Just an FYI - not sure how to resolve this without doing forced mapping but thought i would let everyone know - that was something i struggled with for a few days :p

- Oh a few other points - I also unchecked - "Rename Existing Channels and logos to new name format" because once doing that it would again default back to using the QAM channel # and therefor map to the wrong channel info from schedules direct.

- I also only check "Re-map channels when linup change detected" , and "Add Additional Rating, air date, etc to the show description" - and then of course "Force Guide Update on next TVService statup" when i want to do so..

- Thanks

Is the problem the unmatched channels?
Examples:
Code:
Could not find a match for USA/29
Could not find a match for VH1/35

Do you have these channels 29 and 35 in MP?

Yes that is correct.

Do you have these channels 29 and 35 in MP?
All channels that are unmatched in the log are channels that are in MP. They are all part of my lineup and several of them I wstch often.

Are these channels showing any guide data at all in MP(showing the wrong shows in the EPG)?

From your log it doesn't look like you were able to clear all you channels and re-autotune/scan to add the channels?
Can you delete and then re-add some/all of the channels that are not mapped and then force an update and post the log?
The log you posted only shows updates to existing mapping, not matches .

Reason is so far, I cannot think of why they would not map correctly by just the channel number without there being something in the externalId field that would stop this plugin from mapping it.

EPG Mapping Database

The 1st time I tried to match channels only a couple of my channels matched up so I manually renamed all of them and then all the channels matched up with schedules direct. However, the channels that had been originally auto detected and matched by the plugin the 1st time have no guide data. The major difference I can see is that all the channels that work (have guide data) get matched and say something like "Channel KTLA was found as 5 in EPG mapping database". While the channels that don't work say something like "Channel KTTV was found as KTTV in EPG mapping database. It should say it was matched as 11 in EPG mapping database. I even tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of mediaportal and the tv server but for some reason it seemed like all my setting were saved and I get the exact same problem after scanning all my channels again.

Is there some way to modify the EPG mapping database and insert the channel numbers so I can get this to work. I am running the latest svn and tv server version with the latest version of the tv3 plugin (1.1a).

"Channel KTTV was found as KTTV in EPG mapping database."
indicates that the channel was found in the database and is mapped.

Are you letting the update finish completely?
It can take a long time initially depending on days and channel count.

I think the settings for the tvservice are saved in the database, the plugin definitely does so the settings may not be lost after an uninstall.

If you are sure the update completed, you probably have to try and "clear" all of your channels from within the setuptv.

If you clear all your channels, run the auto-tune/scan again, then let the plugin go to work.
Save THIS log after the FIRST update and post it here. It will show the matches and why.

(p.s. Check to allow matching by channel number)
