...The audio problem may well not be related to the patch you made as ARE2 reported the same problem earlier in this thread without your patch. None of the channels I have subscribed to carry AC3 audio.

Thanks for all your efforts,

-P.

Hi Pirppuli,

don't want to cross post and mess this thread, so just for a quick info, as it seems you had the same prob and so I'm not the only one with it:
https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...me-channels-still-scrambled-76387/#post562790

But still no no reply from anybody :( Maybe you could also post your audio prob in my thread, maybe it'll gain some more attention ;)

Ok, slightly different setuop this time but still the old CAM. I won't be testing any more with it since it just screw things up so here's my final log. The CAM is ready for my tackle box as a sink.

Edit: Sorry for sounding a bit grumpy, good news is that I don't have any issues with my newer CAM with or without mod dll. And if you wish I can provide logs with my working CAM. It's just that the CI slot is at the back of my case and I don't feel like pulling out all the cables one more time to get the case out.

I did a couple of hours more testing. The Dilog/Smit Conax Cam worked fine with DieBagger's patch through over an hour of zapping back & forth FTA / premium channels when I repeated my tests on Win 7 x64. At least on my systems, the extra problems with TV can be traced back to MP's poor support of DVBC network provider. See report here.

I suppose the devs no longer use XP that much and we're starting to see the effects...

No problem, mr. viggo, I know how frustrating this is ;)

    Small update:
I noticed that with the patch (which I sent to a bunch of people) tv will still fail when you are

    • Switching channels with the tvserver preview
    • Grabbing EPG on the encrypted channels

I have a local copy that also fixes these problems which (for me) completely solves the problems I had with my cam. The changes are quick&dirty but I'm talking with one of the MP devs (morpheus_xx, big thx btw) and I'll try to get this fixed for the next version: 0002650: CI menu handling can cause hangs - MediaPortal Bugtracker

Quote from bugtracker: "Side issue: The CI handler gets not re-attached to a card after playback was stopped, so polling thread will never run a 2nd time."

I do have issues with resuming from S3, the scrambled channels are all black. Seems that CAM is lost during sleep. Can this be related? Can provide logs later this evening. (using original dll)

I have a very similar problem (see: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-wintv-ci-module-25726/index4.html#post565001)
    with scrambled channels working/not working.

The "funny" thing is, when I started MCE 2005 and tuned into a scrambled channel, closing MCE, firing up MP TV client gave me this particular scrambled channel. All others, however, were still reported back as been scrambled. Some more testing, also with different tuners (T-USB2 and T-stick), turned even the previously watcheable channel scrambled...

See aforementioned post for full details..

I had the same problem/experience with versio 1.0.2 After installing 1.1-beta + latest svn all works well. No problem switching scrambled channels and (I haven't tested this for a long time) it seems stable.

--Important to mention that installing only 1.1-beta left me with a non-functioning TV-Server (no views at all, unknown errors). But with the latest build this problem was overcome.

    Thx Coen!
I tried the same thing; 1.1 beta with SVN 01-08-2010 Rev 24669: no luck :(
Although all Digitenne (DVB-T NL) channels are found, the scrambled channels remain... scrambled.
    Which SVN did you try?

    Same SVN.
I don't know if there's much forum-discussions in the DVB-T department. There's a lot of DVB-C and DVB-S. In my case it's satellite Canal Digitaal. I don't know if Digitenne works the same way and is therefore comparable.
