CAM sharing is not supported by MP in any way shape or form. Far too many potential legal issues with that. It's the same story for any other kind of soft-cam.
Is there a legal issue connecting a single cam with a legitimate subscription card to two tuners in an HTPC- is this not exactly what a sky+ box is doing. in fact this suggests that a single cam+subscription card in HTPC should also not be supported by MP.
This topic keeps coming up but if you take that position then almost everything we are doing with MP has "too many legal issues" - ripping DVDs, music and TV then sharing on a local network. if we are happy saying that we are doing this for personal use then what is the difference wanting to watch and record two subscription channels that you have paid for with your own hardware rather than having to buy a SKY+ box.
Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.
