Bingo, your client gentle.config file is about sqlite and MediaPortal 2 and your TVServer gentle.config file is telling about MySQL which is OK. And they should be the same.
Also since you've tried both MP1 and MP2 it could explain two tv services and socket exception.
So could you tell us what and in what order you installed.
    Thanks :)

    Hi,
    Thank you for your help.
I tried MediaPortal 2 when it was launched this summer but MP2 could not find the TV Card so I reverted back to MP1.
The launch details gave me the impression that MP2 and MP1 could co-exist on the machine without problems?

Yeah, I thought that too... But since MP2 reverted to MP1 TVServer recently I see potential problem here.
Could you teel if you uninstalled MP2 or not? Gentle.config on clients should be easy fixed by copying it from TV server folder. But I'm not sure if your TVServer is started properly. Check that TVService in Control panel - smth -Services is present and running.

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...

I meant use MP client to try to spot how it's requesting streams for specific channels and then try to do the same with VLC. TV Server development looks dead so I'm afraid you're going to have to figure that out by yourself if it's even possible.

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...
