I like having the weather for the week always visible on basic home. Colours are really good, looks very polished professional style. This will probably be my default skin when it's realised. I know that Maya was very polished and given the experience of making one skin from scratch I know that this skin will be even better and it's fantastic that you guys have a menu editor
My Only Criticism:
I don't like that on a lot of screens the fanart background is shown as tall and narrow (only edge is visible) this might look bad for some fanart as it's usually center based not left edge based.
Question:
will you be able to use the new lrc mode in my lyrics plugin that allows you to display the active lrc line as well as the line above + below in the now playing screen? Kinda like karaoke style lyrics display rather than displaying all the lyrics at once.

First of all: GREAT SKIN. I am waiting for MP1.2 with Avalon to be there and will be drooling on my remote in the mean time
Some ideas that you might like to consider after browsing your excellent screenshots:
* Home Screen: Will there be an RSS Feed Ticker?
* Will there be both views Avalon Movies_Thumbviews_v4_1.jpg and Avalon Movies_Thumbviews_v4_4.jpg or just one? I don't see the need for both, bigger is better (contrary to common opinion that size does not matter )
* Avalon Music_Listview_v4.jpg: There is a lot of space beneath the thumb. Couldn't we fill this with usefull information like rating stars (as in Movies) or other related info?
*Avalon Music_Listview_thumb gone_v4.jpg will the thumb disappear after a short time? Cool idea!
* Avalon Music_Big icons_v4.jpg same for the space beneath the thumb, but will be harder to do (as it is albums shown here, not tracks).
* Avalon Music_Filmstrip_v4.jpg: How about an option to show 5 Albums in filmstrip mode (so bigger is not always better )
* Avalon Music_Filmstrip_fanart_v4.jpg: Ignore my previous comment, this one is really beautifull! Again maybe some more info (only if it does not destroy the symmetry)
* Avalon Music_NowPlaying_v4.jpg: No last.fm recommended tracks? Or are they hidden in the menu?
* Avalon Music_NowPlaying_Lyrics_v4.jpg will the lyrics appear when there are lyrics / disappear when there are none?
* Online Videos: No BigIcons view with icons in the listview?
* Avalon TV Section_TV home_v4.jpg thats the only real critique: It does not fit in nice with the others. My idea: using the same design as the other screens. Use https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-team-avalon-music_listview_thumb-gone_v4.jpg as a reference. The fanart should be replaced by live TV image, the track list by the T V actions. Increase the with of the TV section to make it 16:9 and you should be done.
* Avalon TV Section_TV guide_v4.jpg: Red Recording Icon is too shiny for me, could be less "bright" to fit in better.
* Avalon TV Section_TV guide search_v4.jpg: I like the switches, but maybe indicate which way is "On" just as apple does in iOS? Red lights are really too shiny.
* All OSDs: You already answered my question, it could be hard to read on several backgrounds but you seem to be addressing this already. Great!
* Avalon TV_OSD_v4_85.jpg: How about more info here, like format (HD), Audio Format etc in icons?
* Avalon TV_OSD_v4_info.jpg: Same here.

Just to make the point I have made a very crude mockup (using MSPAINT!) of how I would like the TV section to be.
The buttons could be smaller and the section beneath the buttons contain a small EPG preview (I don't know if this is possible). Otherwise I would like to have a current / next on this channel indicator and maybe up & down arrows to change the channel.
The long Info section is smaller and needs to be truncated. I personally would not mind (press Info if you want to see more, should work in TV screen as well).
So what do you think?

Even if some of the screenshots doesn't suit everybody, I'm sure there will be many mods and user-created changes. After all it's quite impossible to create a skin that pleases all the different needs we have

Sure thing. As I stated, I would love to have Avalon. And I might even make a mod for a different TV layout.
Maybe the feedback you gather from such a preview gives you some valuable ideas (that could even be completely different from what people want) - thats what such a feedback process is for (or is it just that you guys like watering our mouth?? )
