Hi,

Music Now playing ; xml file CORE

Hi users of the core skin,

Here u have the Now Playing (music) xml file with the best track of album and best tag in the picture.

Normally just copy the file in the skin directory / Core / and do not forget to make a save copy of the original file first.

If anyone has other "updates" of the xml files please post.

bigger font

Hi Core users,

Some minor update for several xml-files. In most of the cases only the text has been made bigger so its easier to use on crt screens. If u guys know some other screens where it is hard to read, let me know.

Also the VideoEditor xml file was slightly changed because some things weren't visiable on a 16:9 screen.

It is good to see that you keep taking Core forward. I just wanted to ask you if you tried Core Reloaded yet? If so, what are your opinions?

home menu

I am a new to media portal. And so far have really enjoyed it. I love the core skin that you have created. But I have a question.

When I open up mp and the home menu shows up it does not have the layout that your screenshots show, it is in a vertical layout like the default skin. Can you help me out. I am new and don't know much. It also says that the current skin is outdated.

Hi mbieszka,

First of all, welcome! You need to enable "Use Basic Home" in the General settings in the MediaPortal Configuration app. And the "skin is outdated" thing that comes up should show a "do not show this message again" after about 5 restarts if I'm not mistaken.

Dear Mbiezka,

The home screen has 2 screens, basic home and home screen (or something like that). If you use the microsoft mce remote, you can push the green button and then you will have the screen like in the screenshoots of the skin.

Otherwise you must go to the setup and select (check) open Mediaportal in basic home.
