Who can help me grabbing some cool screenshots of the boundled (v2) TV-module and the (v3) TV-server for promoting SimpleMP Beta 4 skin? Still don't have any TV-card (shame...). Drop me a PM if you can help.

I have now added this skin to the SVN system so the community can participate in this skin development (if you want to).

There is also a sub folder "SimpleMP Plugin Support" where all current plugin skin files are stored. It's all open for you guys that would like to extend support for more plugins. Finished "plugin skin files" should be distributed with the plugin itself, this is more like a test or current dev folder.


For now I hasn't recieved any bug reports of the beta 4 build at all... so no bug fixes is currently in the SVN system.

I have noticed a few things im not sure if its to do with your skin or not, im going to bed now and will upload some screenshots tomorrow.

When watching recorded tv or watching live tv and i pause rewind or fastforward this is what happeneds it doesnt say what it is doing eg "Pause". It also displays "#TV.Record.Cu..." and the boottom OSD isnt sitting on the bottom of the screen.


This is a screenshot of playing a .avi in the My Vidoes section and the OSD working fine.



When i press the CH + / - on my MCE remote i get this nice OSD but when i look though the channels it doesnt display how long the the program has been running for.

Its the same with this OSD as well.


Heres what the BlueTwo skin looks like.



When a show is being recorded the red icon and rec text is up the top left hand conner and is normaly behind other text so i was woundering if we could get it moved to a different location.



When i play back recored tv the part of the OSD that tells how far along in the recoding i am is red shouldnt it be green.

I noticed these in beta3 of this skin as well but i new beta4 was going to be released soon and thought they would be fixed in that.

Also im not a big fan of the text "Basic Home" on the basic home screen could you tell me what .xml file i have to edit to remove it i have tried looking but couldnt find it.

here is my first version of the My Films skin, there is a problem with all the views except for List view, but i have sent a PM to zebons, and hopefully it will be fixed soon.

As i say this is a first version, enjoy.

I've now tested and tweaked your skin files for the My Films plugin a bit (hope you don't mind). I also fixed your icon-view problem and added a hover image.

The latest SimpleMP version of My Films can be found in the skin SVN or as an attached ZIP-file in the first post of this topic. Enjoy!

I replaced the thumbnailpanel control with code I use for my MyVideos (look in common.facade.video.xml). Your version missed some tags for both small and big thumbs. Compare the thumbnailpanel control in the both files and you'll see what code I added.

Thanks beaverfood for these screenshots, don't use TV on my HTPC... and are not able to test it either since I don't have any TV-card. Have made those screens based on screenshots users sent to me. Will have a look at these screenshots and compare some xml's with BlueTwo.

Looks horrible... self floating controls? Is the pause bar trying to escape the screen to the upper right?

I totally agree with you, what does the label "Basic Home" tell the user... nothing? What was I thinking? Maybe should be replaced with "Menu" or "Choose section" or...? Open up BasicHome.xml and change the value <label>100035</label> on line 63 to a better value. You can either choose a string ID from the language string xml files or just type in the desired text. Tell me what you choose. Will change this to the next release.

Beaverfood: thanks for making screenshots of these bugs. At least one or two of them I've noticed for some time, but was never able to take screenshots of for mikael to see.

Allright, I've now tried to fix Beaverfood's bugs he reported above. Please download and this new xml's and report the outcome. All changes is also uploaded to the skin SVN system.

Hi,
when resuming videos with very long filenames it looks somewhat ugly (see attached screenshot). ;-)
AFAIR long string resources (texts) are scrolled if they do not fit into a defined area.

Is this a bug?
