Quick question re Powerscheduler++ - are you folks using the beta or the stable release?

Hi there,

I have tried both.. For a while I had problems with the beta one not going into standby correctly. This has now been fixed.

So I'm in the latest beta version and all is good

I think I know the answer to my own question, but I'll ask anyway....

I have 4 tuners in my system, but EPG grabbing only seems to use one.

Also, as soon as I tune to a channel (using one tuner) the idle EPG grab stops.

I was hoping EPG grabbing could use any card, and it would grab while there was any free card.

I believe the answer will be "this is inherent issue/limitation with the basic MePo EPG system, and nothing can be done with this Sky SVN" - But I've gotta ask

Hehe it is unfortunately Can't remember why exactly but EPG grabbing can only be done when all the tuners are idle. Think an attempt was made to fix this at some point but it was abandoned.

I read this with some confusion... I have 6 tuners in my system and the TV is always on - I never power down the HTPC, and at night it just gets left on whatever channel was last being watched.

The EPG still gets grabbed though?? I must admit I use DJBlu patches instead, but I don't think that would make a difference?

I'm going to have to investigate now as it's got me thinking!

EDIT : Well, well! All this time I have been ticking the grab when recording/timeshifting and it does nothing!

How bizarre - surprised I haven't noticed issues with EPG since the TV is on most of the time!

Hi, its not directly related to the EPG but being as you all obvoiusly are watching sky

I have a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 but have very small black bars top and bottom of the screen. I use ViewModeSwitcher (I haven't changed any of its settings) and I'm just curious if this is normal or if the switcher is altering the image size? I thought sky was 1080i so it should display full size?

Hi guys,

Here are installers built over 1.2.3. You should be able to install over (upgrade) the previous 1.2.2 version.

The changes for 1.2.3 are also merged into the GIT branch if you build MP yourself.

psykix - DJBlu's version doesn't grab using the standard EPG scheduling functionality (AFAIK), so his version can grab whilst other tuners are being used.
