    Hi Jonny,

I'm currently using version 1.2.3 and it has been faultless. I have never changed any of the settings from the default ones that Miroslav used.

Just really thinking out loud here:-

Has your DVB-S card installed properly?
Did you download the latest satellite details just prior to scanning for channels on the card?
Does the card start to initialise when you 'refresh EPG' under the Config>Manual settings?

At present I cannot double check the transponder details as GF is watching the main TV, but will do so later.

Sorry I cannot be much more help.

    Hi there,

Have you done a full scan on the card(s)...ensured all TV and Radio channels are mapped to the/all relevant cards?

Can you post the full set of logs.

    Thanks,

    J.

    Hi

Yes both cards installed fine, I updated the sat list before the full scan. If I have the sky epg ticked nothing happens when I refresh the epg. If I have ticked freesat info it starts straight away.

    Hi Jay

I have attached all the logs from the logs folder i hope thats what you meant? Sorry I'm new to having an issue I couldn't fix.

I have booted up from the old drive and checked i'm using all the same drivers etc which I am. This set up starts the epg grabbing straight away.

This is strange as Ive never had an issue before it has always workd first time :)

    Hi there,

I will have a look at your logs in a bit...

Have you mapped your Radio channels to your cards?

Right i have done a fresh install of windows, downloaded the latest drivers and it is still the same no sky epg :(
Weirdly my brother who lives just around the corner has lost his sky epg now as well. He didn't touch anything it just didn't update anymore. I wonder if it is a region thing? Has sky changed something in east anglia? I checked his epg log and shows the same as mine 'Error cannot start EPG grabbing for Sky UK as no channels could be found for the default transponder'

    Hi Jonny,

I do remember from the earlier days of Miroslav's grabber we had to manually add the EPG data channel by ticking the Sky channel "EPG Background Audio"

The tuning details of this can be found >>here<< (you'll have to scroll down the page) check that these match the details in the plugin section. I would note down the original tuning details first before changing them. I hope that helps.

You read my mind I was searching for the tuning details. So thanks for that. Sadly they are the same. I have even gone as far as creating a background audio radio channel just to see if that would work. Again no joy :(

Just reading back through your previous posts and have checked to see if my EPG is still updating, and it seems to be. I have info up to next Sunday morning. I don't think they could disable satellite channels on such a regional basis as it would be difficult to isolate the spread of the transmitted signal.

The background audio channel is a radio channel, so can you listen to it - or does it just not exist in your channel list?

I was checking for it in radio the channel list and it wasn't there. So I have set up a channel and numbered it the same as my previous setup and so far it is scanning epg background audio with the sky epg box ticked :) . Wierd how it wasn't picked up by the scan on any of the last 3 times I have installed MP. I will check my bros setup to see if he still has the channel listed too.

Before I finished typing this it had finished grabbing and it all appears to working now. Very strange as to why it didn't pick up the audio channel? I have the settings now so it won't be a problem in the future.

    Thanks for everyones help :)
