I'll stick to my core set of channels (about 50) - where infact we only watch about 6 (we'll worth having Sky, as most of the 6 are freesat!)

Does anyone watch that? Really? :)

I have some staunchly Welsh relatives - they speak only in Welsh when at home, so it is there in case they call! Yes, they do watch 'Pobol Y Cwm' regularly; I can't understand a word of it TBH. My "taid" would be turning in his grave!

Hmm... S4C I can understand, especially being Welsh as I am, but I don't think I've ever seen anything broadcast on S4C2! :)

Anyway, this doesn't help us understand why some channels have no data. I need to list out those of mine which are affected to see if there's some sort of pattern to it.

I don't know if it helps any, but I have got the EPG back for Yesterday & Sky 3. I combined the Freeview channel (FTA) with the Sky satellite channel (showed as encrypted) and the EPG came up straight away. Clearly it had populated the wrong 'Yesterday'/Sky3 - but it doesn't explain the others that are missing and do not have a duplicate.

I never combined them in the first place as it seemed a bit pointless as part of the combination couldn't be watched due to the encryption - it never occurred to me that it affected the EPG.

I also have the same problem as Kev. It is consistent on my system in that the following never populate:-

    Sky Three
    Yesterday
    Channel One
    Sky 3+1
    S4C2
    Community
    Rural TV
    Body in Balance
    Men and Movies
    Euronews

S4C2 closed down about a month back, RuralTV and Body in Balance may have stopped recently too, don't quote me on that though. Men and Movies EPG is only carried on freesat.

    @all

If you are missing epg data and have a few minutes would you mind posting:

An xml export of your tv channel list, including tuning details (from Import/Export in tvsetup)
Your epg.log file from the TV server log folder
The names of a few channels that arn't populating (if you haven't already)

2 or 3 lots from different setups would be great,

    Thanks,

    Jon

I'll be knocking S4C2 off my programme list.
Body in Balance is still broadcasting on Sky ch275.
Rural TV - I dunno; their website gives little away.
Men and Movies - hmmmmm... do I just tick the Freesat EPG to update this, or will it then overide all the Sky stuff??

I had a leaflet through the door a few days ago, should be interesting to see how they do it. Will it just be a new set of bouquets?
I read somewhere before that they are re-purposing the bouquet that is currently used for pub licences, as that is barely ever used. I could have picked it up wrong, and I can't remember where I read it (probably Hexus.net or their forums). I presume then the firmware of the HD boxes will be updated to pay attention that that bouquet. It they did it purely in firmware, they would need to update all the boxes every time there was a change in the relationship between SD and HD channels (for example if the terrestrial channels do move the simultanious SD/HD broadcast). With this method, all they need to do is update the bouquet and all changes are reflected in viewers homes.

That's brill, thanks for those :)

Looks like all the channels in question have 2 tuning entries (for terrestrial and satellite I guess).

For some reason the Sky grabber doesn't find the channel when this is the case. Should be easy to fix :)

Edit: actually some only have 1 entry which is weird - from kingofsat it doesn't look like the service/transport ids have changed recently (these are used to search for the channels) - I'll compare it to my setup later
