To be honest, I am not sure. I did a new install with a blank MSSQL database. I then ran the patches over the top and the TV Server install failed saying database conversion had failed I think..

I went back to MYSQL after that.

There are some other issues too at the moment with the series link, but I am not technical enough to hazard a guess as to what they may be!!

Is NIT scanning included? The transponder lists are not up to date or accurate so it would be a big help! I know you were in the process of implementing it in the old thread - dunno if you ever completed it though!

Keep up the good work, it adds so much functionality for us UK Sky users that I can no longer do without it!

My Q was directed to Miroslav but appreciate the input.

The scanning is slowly coming on.

I am writing a TV Server plugin so you can select your Sky Region and label the groups. The Sky Numbering is complete and I have got the TSWriter to dump the 900 odd channels. It will take a couple of more days but I'll get there in the end.

Once miroslav finishes the update to the series link I'll merge the two patches and upload a setup file.

I'm not sure if it is just me, but I also now have a problem when recording. I set a manual record of one programme, and then when I press up arrow to select a different channel whilst still on the guide, Mediaportal crashes. There is nothing obvious in the event logs other than the crash - and no specific reason given for it. I don't know if it is a 1.2.0 issue, or an issue with the patch - I never run standard MePo!

It looks like there are a few issues regarding the patch merge into 1.2.0. I'll fix everything i've found (including MSSQL problems) and re-upload the installers tomorrow.

For now don't rely on the series link to record anything, it might not work.

What was wrong with the SQL command? I hadn't looked at the MSSQL as I find it too bulky. Being on a 512kbps connection downloading is a PITA.

Not sure. I had errors that the new series columns couldn't be found when the EPG was being dumped. I think the SQL is ok, it might just be the resource .sql file wasn't found in the upgrade routine. I have MSSQL server installed now so either way it should be easy to fix tomorrow.

Thats strange as I renamed them and added them as an embedded resource.

Also for the installers, if you need web space, give me a shout and I'll give u access to the ftp server. Saves using webserver.

I really think this is the best feature additon to mediaportal, but just wonder if there is any update on the feature to self tune/number channels? Will this hit a v1.1.x version, or will it only comeinto play with 1.2.x? Are we talking weeks, months, longer?

I am working on 1.2.0 svn so it will be for this.

I have got the full channel search sorted, I am just sorting the grouping and plugin. Maybe a week tops.

I've updated the first page with fixed installers for 1.2.0 Alpha. MS SQL should upgrade fine now and the problems with series link should be corrected. I've re-posted the patch file as well. It's over the 1.2.0 Alpha tag and should integrate with no conflicts.

Let me know if there are any further problems.

DJBlu - How far have you got? I must admit I haven't made a lot of progress, just been so busy. I've started a config page in tvsetup to configure the settings (regions, default transponder etc) - have you done this a different way?

I have sorted the TSWriter and was working on the Plugin page. If you send me the code I can integrate it.
